Unusually small

End

I woke up.
It seemed as though my muscles ached.
I was dizzy.
But I was still as small as an insect.

I could hear the rain pouring outside the car.

I tried to sit up. But I felt someone lying next to me.

I glanced down, expecting to see Nina. But it wasn't her.

It was Kyle.

The same size as me.

"Kyle!" I shouted. Shaking his unconscious body.

I looked around worriedly, we were lying on the drivers seat of the car. Wren and Nina nowhere to be found.

"Wha...?" He stirred, blinking rapidly.

"Kyle!" I said. Trying to sit him up, I could tell he was weaker.

"Ash?" He asked, struggling to open his eyes. "Why are you so loud? What happened? Where am I?" He asked, his mouth running a mile a minute.

"Kyle!" Is all I could say. He opened his eyes, smiling. "Ashley, you're normal again!"

"Kyle..." I said, then someone opened the car door. A stranger.

I tried to drag Kyle away, afraid what this giant man would do.

He looked around the car madly. Then Kyle screamed, catching the attention of the stranger.

He grinned down at us, grabbing us in his strong hands.

"I'm sorry Ashley," Kyle said, "I said I would protect you... But I failed."

The man put us in a cage, "I found more specimen." He said into an earpiece.

"Yes."

"...ok. #34 and #26 are locked and loaded. They should arrive within the hour."

We're we being whisked away to a lab? I could only imagine how horribly we would be treated... Forever imprisoned.

Forever alone.

Never to see the light of day again.

What a waste of life.

What a terrible fate.
