According to society, such roles are ingrained within their very natures: humans and predators are the ones who own houses and rule the world; while beneath their feet are the tiny folk, who have to hide and borrow what they can just to survive- or be doomed to their publicized fates as pets, pests, and playthings. Except for Jack, a wild borrower who somehow finds himself befriending his houseowner- who also happens to be a predator. This book is a collection of writings that take place in my Iced Coffee AU. Sho gets notified that his aunt, Sadako, is going to die a peaceful death by old age sometime in the next twenty-four hours. She wants her nephew with him, but he brings Arrietty along so she can learn that Borrowers are real in the short time she has left. I know I said I would keep Alternate Arrietty as a one-shot. But this seems like a natural continuation of that fic. Sadako, Sho's aunt in the movie, is elderly during its events. So with enough time passing that Sho and Arrietty are young adults, I feel that Sadako would be in declining health.

A year after Sho and Arrietty saw Sadako die a peaceful, painless death by old age, they close the knot and become spouses.

The recent discovery of Borrowers was definitely a shock for Sapnap, but nothing compared to realizing there was one in his house.
