Worlds Move

Jin felt the world moving around him as paramedics came flying in. He felt someone pull him away from Sam and felt them struggle. Without the proper mind in place, he couldn't tell that he was unconsciously fighting the cops. Once Sam was moved, Jin moved after him. On the outside perspective, Jin was dragging two large cops with him to get to this child. After another two came, they successfully pulled Jin off the ground and over to another ambulance. Jin saw dozens of medics trying to gain his attention, but he couldn't focus. He was sensitive to every sound, looking whatever it was until he fixated on the voices coming from a specific ambulance. He knew they were asking him things, bit he was more concerned about

"Sam..."

The medics began discussing what that meant, but found his ID and his real name. Jin hard his wife and boy so for him, but he was too focused. He could hear his wife talk to the medic.

"What's going on? Why can't I see him?"

"Ma'am he's unresponsive-"

"What are you talking about? He's sitting right there, he's fine!"

"Ma'am, your don't understand-"

"Jin, are you okay? Jin? Jin!"

"Can someone please remove her?"

Jin looked towards the new noise, but felt nothing. He knew he should feel something because of his wife being moved by cops, but he just turned back to where he knew Sam was and stared. The conversation went on.

"What's wrong with him? What's wrong with my husband?"

"Ma'am, the paramedics say he's in a state of shock. All we've gotten from him is Sam. Does the name mean anything to you?"

"Sam? Sam! Oh my gord, where is he!?"

"Here we go again. Ma'am, who is he?"

"Sam!"

The first thing to grab Jin's attention was his wife's slip of the tongue.

"Our son! He was in there! He's got pure white rabbit ears and light brown hair with beautiful matching eyes and he was in there!"

The cop looked over to the ambulance Sam was in for a second before taking a deep breath.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry to say this, but your son was shot in the chest-"

"What?!-"

"We don't know if he'll die, there's still a chance for him to survive. But, you're husband has only muttered your son's name and-"

Jin found his voice, but still couldn't find good vocabulary.

"Sam.... Sam.... 's, Sam?-"

Cordelia ran to her husband's side with JJ.

"Sam's going to be okay, honey."

He slowly looked over to his wife, finding more words. His hand moved to her cheek and she held her hand over his.

"Cordelia...?"

She let small tears fall with a relieved laugh escaping.

"Yeah, I'm here, babe, I'm here."

She picked up JJ and placed him on Jin's lap, letting Jin look at him.

"And JJ's here, too."

Jin moved his son closer to his chest and held him tightly and protectively, still holding his wife's hand as his son hugged him.

"Good... Sam... Shot, Sam's shot!"

Jin began to hyperventilate. The medics tried to calm him.

"Everything wool be fine, Mr. Bop-"

Jin turned with wild eyes.

"Don't say that! Where is he?"

Jin got up wobbly, but began to speed towards the ambulance. The cops followed, but Jin had made it. His heart dropped they were trying to make Sam regain consciousness, oxygen masks, blood was everywhere. Jin did the only thing he remembered some Sam up, even though it was unconventional. A medic moved enough for Jin to be right next to Sam, quickly they tried to get a cop to make him leave, until

"Sam? Sam, it's time to wake up, you've still got a lot of daylight left, yeah? And if you don't, I'll be gone faster, remember?"

Through tears he spoke and a miracle happened. Sam opened his eyes and barely audibly made a noise of agreement and slightly nodding. The medics shot back to work and said they'd take it from there. The cops put a hand on Jin's shoulder and spoke sternly.

"Mr. Jin Bop, we have a few quotations for you."

Jin nodding, tears in his eyes as he watched Sam be driven away. He had a request, though.

"Can I please go see him be okay? I've got to... I just have to..."

A touch of empathy moved in the cops eyes as he gave a light and watched his wife and soon run to him with hugs and questions.
