"Naka ilan na tayo?" Jho asked.
"I've had four, you've had two." I replied.
She scrunched her face. "Bakit hindi tayo parehas?"
"Kasi you're already slurring." I said.
"Oh." She said then she chuckled.
"Bubuhatin mo ba 'ko?" She asked.
I shook my head. "You're too heavy."
She slapped my arm and I winced. Damn, she has a really heavy hand.
"Nag bo-box ka ba? Ambigat ng kamay mo." I said, rubbing my arm.
She rolled her eyes. "Volleyball when I was a kid."
Huh.
I finished my drink. "Ikaw naman hanapan natin. Anong type mo?"
She chuckled. "Apparently, gago yung type ko."
"Ako pipili para sa'yo." I surveyed the room and pointed far left.
"Ayun oh. Maitim. Batak. Bagay kayo." I laughed and she slapped my arm again.
I walked to the guy and tapped his shoulder.
"Hi! Have you met Jho?" I gestured to her.
"Hi." She smiled shyly.
"Hey. Josh." He pointed to himself.
I winked at Jho and headed back to the bar. Every now and then, I glanced at them. She looked like she was having fun naman so I just drank some more and had a chat with some people close by.
Some time later though, I saw Jho walking towards me. I excused myself from the girl I was talking to.
"Find me later." The girl said and walked away.
I turned to face Jho.
"Anong nangyari?" I asked Jho.
"Okay naman siya. Who's that?" She pointed to the girl.
"Fel. Or Gel? I don't know. I forgot. So what happened to Josh? Bakit iniwan mo na?"
"Eh. Just wasn't feeling it." She shrugged. "Plus, I'd rather talk to you all night."
I smiled slowly and she pinched my side.
"Yiii. Kilig na yan."
I scoffed. "Hindi ako kinikilig."
"If you say so." She snickered.
We did a couple more shots and blended with the crowd, introducing each other a lot but cutting the conversation after 5 minutes.
A few minutes before midnight, I pulled Jho away from a guy when I heard her say "Jho, I'm Hi."
"What?" She slurred.
I can't even speak because I was laughing my ass off.
"C'mon, Hanky Girl. Uwi na tayo." I said in between chuckles.
I started to drag her outside but someone tapped my shoulder.
"Leaving so soon?" It was the girl earlier.
"Yeah, got to take this one home." I pointed to the red-faced Jho.
"Oh. I thought you were single." She looked disappointed.
"Oh, no. We're n---" I started but Jho cut me off.
"Let's go, baby." She continued walking and now was the one dragging me outside.
