A/N: Hey guys! I'm so sorry this update is late. I was sick last week. (╥﹏╥) but it's here! And it's Hogwarts AU! Yay! (≧▽≦) I just recently became addicted to the Harry Potter series (& also to Dramione xD) so I decided that maybe I should give this a try since there's a lot of stories and fanarts of RoTBTD based on Hogwarts AU. So, yeah hope you'll like it! By the way, thanks for 17k reads! :D

Christmas was drawing nearer at Hogwarts, and except about the feasts and celebration, fourth year students like Jack from Slytherin and Hiccup from Gryffindor also look forward for the grand Yule Ball.

"We really have to ask them now." Hiccup said to his best friend, Jack. Even though they're from different houses, they somehow became friends when they were in their second year.

"I know." The white-haired boy breathed frustratedly. "It's only a week before the Yule Ball."

They were at the library because they had to research and study for their homework for the Potions class. But obviously, they just went in there to instead, plan how will they gonna ask Rapunzel and Merida.

Ironically, Rapunzel was in Gryffindor while Merida was in Slytherin. The two boys were also friends with them, which really made it more awkward and hard to ask them out.

The two lads sighed in unison.

"I really don't know how to ask Merida out." The brunet said, burying his face to a book he's supposed to be reading. "Can you help me out, Jack?" He pleaded, looking up at him.

His companion just looked at him in sympathy. "I'm just as miserable as you are, Hic." Jack replied.

Hiccup straightened up as he closed the book. "I'm gonna ask her later." He absentmindedly said. Honestly, he didn't even know why he said that.

"Well, goodluck with that." Jack said with a smile although he's really doubting if his friend would really do that.

Their Herbology class was already done and the two best friends were now in the corridors.

"I know she's out here somewhere." Hiccup said, craning to find her through the thick crowd of students. "She's always sitting on one of the benches here and would study."

Jack chortled as he looked at Hiccup in amusement. "Woah. You know Merida's schedule more than me even though we're in the same house."

Hiccup flushed but didn't answer as he continued to look for the redhead girl in the crowd.

It took him a few minutes before seeing her sitting on a bench which made him smile. He knew it.

"I'll just wait here." Jack said as the brown haired boy turned to him. "Do you think she'll say 'yes'?" Hiccup asked, trying to not sound nervous but failed to do so.

Jack sighed looking at him before looking at Merida, who's reading a book about Potions, before looking back at Hiccup.

"Well," he started. "I guess we'll just have to find out." He said that made his best friend's expression a bit gloomy.

"But don't worry! I bet she'll agree to come with you to the ball." Jack quickly added with a smile to encourage him. Hiccup just smiled wearily and he nodded.

Even though his palms were sweaty, and his heart was hammering through his ribcage, Hiccup went to her slowly as the other students jostled through him.
