Chapter 22: Unbelievable

Luke's pov 

It was finally Friday night which meant Mel and I had our date tonight:)

I honestly couldn't wait..

Ever since that first day I met her I couldn't stop thinking about her.

One look and those hazel eyes just pulled me in.

She was just so beautiful.

I was lucky she even gave me a chance to be honest.

'Hey beautiful I'll pick you in an hour?'

I texted her.

Alex's pov

I sat on Mel's bed as she went through her closet pulling out random outfits, trying to find the right one.

"What about this one?" She questioned me as she held up a black dress.

Before I could answer she shook her head at it.

"Nah nevermind" she stated throwing it on the ground.

"I say just wear shorts and a cute shirt" I shrugged.

"Alright how about these shorts?" She asked holding up a pair of black booty shorts.

"And this shirt?" She added as she held up a black crop top.

I smiled and nodded in approval.

"That's perfect" I exclaimed.

She smiled and went to change into the outfit.

I checked my phone to see what time it was.

I had to be to work in about an hour.

I heard the bathroom door open and Mel came out.

"Damn girl what's your number?" I teased.

"Shut up" she giggled.

"Nah seriously that outfits boner material" I smirked.

"Ya think so?" She asked looking in the mirror at herself.

"Definitely" I nodded.

Luke's pov

I pulled into Mel's driveway and next thing I knew Mel was walking out of her house.

As soon as I saw her my heart dropped.

She looked really fuxking good.

I gulped as she got into my car.

I felt my face getting red.

"You ok?" She asked as she shut her door.

"Ya.. It's just- well you look beautiful" I managed to say.

"Aw thank you" she blushed.

I smiled at her then pulled out of her driveway.

"So where are we going?" She questioned me with a wide smile.

"It's a surprise" I smirked.

"I hate surprises" she said making a face.

"Well you'll love this one" i told her.

I was taking her to my uncle's lake house.

Before planning where I was going to have this date I managed to get Calum to ask Alex what she thought Mel would like to do.

She said kayaking at night would be perfect.

Luckily my uncle owned a lake house and had a few kayaks of his own so it was perfect for our first date.

I pulled into his driveway and turned my car off.

"We're here" I smiled as I looked over at Mel.

"Finallyyyy" she smirked as she got out excitedly.

God she was too cute.

I got out and intertwined our fingers as we I led her to the back yard.

Mel's pov

As he intertwined our fingers I couldn't help, but feel my stomach explode with butterflies.

He made me so happy.

I followed him as he led me into the backyard of the house and my eyes widened at the beautiful sight.

He looked at me and chuckled.

I shook my head and ran towards the kayaks.

"What are you waiting for Hemmings??" I yelled as I looked back at him as he still stood where I had left him.

He laughed and made his way over to me.

"You need help?" He asked as I dragged the kayak to the water.

"Nah I got it" I lied.

"Here" he said as he took the kayak from me and put it into the water.

I smiled at him and got in.

He put his life vest on then placed his kayak in the water as well.

We both paddled away from the shore and made our way around the island in the middle of the lake.

Everything about this moment was perfect..

The sun was setting, the weather was perfect and I was with Luke.

We sat there for a minute letting the waves take us along as we watched the sun set.

"It's beautiful" I whispered to myself.

"Not as beautiful as you" luke exclaimed.

I looked over at him and blushed as he smiled widely.

We spent the next few hours just kayaking around the lake and taking in the feeling of being with each other.

It started to get really dark and we decided it was best if we made our way back to the shore.

I pulled my kayak out of the water and tried to unbuckle my life vest.

Some reason It wasn't coming undone.

I sighed as I tried and tried.

"I got it" Luke stated as he chuckled.

He walked over to me and placed his hands on the life vest as he unbuckled it like it was easy.

I looked up at him and felt my face turn red from embarrassment.

He smiled as he stood there for a moment looking at me.

Next thing I knew his lips were on mine and I couldn't believe what was happening.

I smiled as I kissed him back, the butterflies exploding in my stomach, but it felt amazing.

I pulled away looking down nervously at my feet.

"You ready to go home?" He questioned me.

I looked up at him and nodded.

He intertwined out fingers again and led me back to the car.

Ahhhh so Luke and Mel are a lil thing now;) ayeee anyways this is a bit of a filler chapter hope you like it
