Calum's pov

My eyes widened as I looked at my phone to see Alex was calling me.

I answered it hoping she'd explain to me what was going on.

"Hello?" I said into my phone, as I waited to hear Alex's voice again.

"Why is she calling?" Libby asked angrily from beside me.

Believe me I didn't invite her over she invited herself.

I was too nice to tell her to leave.

"Alex?" I asked after not getting an answer.

"Just hang up" Libby explained.

I rolled my eyes and I heard the line go even more silent then before.

The call was ended..

I set my phone down on my bed and sighed.

God I just wanted to talk to Alex..

"Don't let her get to you" Libby said as she slide her fingers down my arm.

I knew exactly what she was trying to do.

She was just like Whitney.

They both thought that they could have any guy they wanted.

Well I wasn't just any guy.

I got up and grabbed my phone as I made my way downstairs.

"Where are you going?" Libby asked as she stood up and began following me.

"I don't know yet" I stated as I walked out the front door and she still followed.

"What do you mean? You can't just leave" she began.

"Actually I can.. Sorry Libby, but you probably should too" I explained as I got into my car and backed out of the driveway, leaving Libby there confused.

I drove a little ways down the road and pulled over to call Melody.

After a few rings she picked up.

"Calum?" She questioned confused.

"Listen I really need Alex's address.. Can you give it to me?" I began.

"I don't know.. She's really upset-" I cut her off.

"Mel please I have to talk to her" I begged.

"Alright I'll text you it.." She sighed and hung up.

My phone buzzed and I read Melody's text and sent a quick 'thank you' before driving again.

Alex's pov

Why would Calum want to hang out with Libby when he knows she's friends with Whitney..

For last half hour I had been an absolute mess and I didn't know why.

Like I was so upset over Calum and it just didn't make sense to me.

My phone buzzed from beside me.

'You want me to come over with some icecream?'

It was Mel.

'I wish but of course it's gotta be a school night.. My dad wouldn't allow it:/'

I sent the text and I heard the door bell rang.

Who the hell would be at my house at 8 at night?

Maybe it was Mel being the little badass she was.

I groaned as I got up and made my way downstairs to answer the door.

The door bell rang again.

"I'm coming. I'm coming" I said.

I opened the door to see Calum standing there.

My heart stopped.

I didn't even know what to say.

"Calum..I don't think nows a good time.." I spoke.

I shook my head and tried to close the door, but only to have Calum stop it with his arm.

"Alex.. You can't do this.." He begged his voice making my heart drop as he spoke.

I was about to speak, but he spoke again.

"You can't just walk into my life and make me think that maybe I found someone who finally understood me.. Someone different. Then all of the sudden you leave without warning." He explained.

I could tell he was hurting as much as I was.

"Calum.. I-" I began, but he interrupted me as he continued.

"Why?.. Did I do something wrong?" He asked.

"No.." I tried to explain, but he cut me off again.

"Then why?" He questioned.

I stood there for a moment and felt the tears coming.

"Because of Whitney.."

His eyes widened.

"What do you mean?" He rose an eyebrow in confusion.

I shook my head trying to stop the tears.

"Hey" Calum said as a worried expression appeared on his face.

He stepped inside of the house and shut the door behind him, wiping a tear off my cheek, wrapping his arms around me as i cried into his chest.

"It's okay" he whispered as he rubbed my back and held me tightly against his chest.

We stood there for a few minutes and I finally calmed down to explained what had happened.

"The other day when Mel and I were driving back from the bowling alley all of the sudden a car came out of nowhere and caused me to crash my truck. When I got out to yell at the other driver for almost killing me.. Well I seen it was Whitney." I told him as I held back the tears.

His eyes widened as he listened.

"She told me if I didn't stay away from you that next time I wouldn't be so lucky.." I looked down at the ground not wanting to look up at Calum.

"Why didn't tell me?" He asked.

"I couldn't.. If she found out that I did well she'd just threaten me even more"

"Alex we gotta tell the police"

I shook my head.

"No trust me it'll only start more trouble.." I explained.

"She almost fucking killed you Alex!" Calum said angrily.

"I'm not gonna let her take away the only person who means something to me in this world." He told me.

"I don't care who thinks she is, but she's not stopping me from seeing you.." He went on.

I smiled.

"You're my fucking best friend Alex and no matter what you always will be, she can't change that"

Soooo cal and Alex finally talked it out. Tbh I was a little worried to write this chapter so soon but I hope y'all liked it!
