I don't remember sleeping last night, I must have barely slept at all with the thought of Daniel and Cat racing through my mind. Was what Daniel said true?
I hear the continuous beeping of my alarm and decide enough is enough and I get up grabbing my carefully selected clothes from the wardrobe and running to the bathroom to shower before my dad would inevitably kick me out. Once I'm done I dress myself and straighten my hair before going down to the kitchen. I couldn't see my parents so I grabbed my usual cereal bar and backpack and decided to leave early.
I walked out of the door to walk to school as I was early for the bus, and of course the door of my neighbour had to open up at the exact same time; I glance quickly to see Daniel getting ready to leave and receive a cheeky smirk making my cheeks go red. I shuffle quickly down the path looking back every now and again only to be met by Daniel staring back at me, I wanted to talk to him about Cat but couldn't pluck up the courage to do so, Of course I had to be socially awkward in these situations! I was so consumed in my own world I didn't realise Daniel had caught up to me,
"Good morning Phil!" He greets me cheerfully giving me once again a cheeky grin and a better view of his smile. His dimple are very pronounced now and so cute! Wait did I just say that! No Daniel Howell is not cute! Well maybe a little. I acknowledge him with a nod and return to silence as I look at the pavement, the silence runs for a couple more minutes until he speaks again,
"Had a rough night I guess?"
"That's one way of putting it." I mumble catching another glimpse at his face only this time I notice everything about him from his dimple to his honey brown eyes. I hear other kids and look up to see the school in sight and Daniels friends up ahead. I stop in place an stare at the ground to avoid confrontation until Daniel walks back to me after realising I had stopped and whispers in my ear "We need to talk more your voice is beautiful, maybe later." before running off to see his friends, once again Daniel howell has made me blush. God damn it!
