Not A Cliché Love Story

Part 19

After detention Gabby walked outside to walk home. When she got out there she noticed Zoey and Alex waiting for her.

"What are you guys doing here? I thought y'all went home."Gabby said

"You thought we would leave our best friend here to walk home alone?"Zoey told her

"Never in a million years. Plus it's probably about to rain so I ran home and got my car so we wouldn't have to walk to the hospital."Alex finished

"Wow you guys didn't have to stay. Wait so y'all stood out here for an hour waiting for me to get out."

"Yep."they said together

"By the way Zoey do you know Jackson?"

"Jackson as in the strongest 11th grader Jackson?"

"Yeah that one."

"Duh everyone does. Why?"

"Hey I know him too. Why?"Alex replied

"Cause I have now apparently stood up to him also."Gabby said proudly

"Dang girl you're on a roll."Zoey stated

They got in the car and headed to the hospital and while on the way Gabby told them all about what happened in detention.

When they got to the hospital they went to Alex's parent's room. They visited for a while before it looked like it was 10 o'clock outside.

"Y'all kids need to go home don't you?"Mark asked

"I guess we do."Gabby said looking out the window

They all decided to go to Gabby's house for movie night.

"I got the popcorn."Gabby said

"I got drinks."Alex said

"And I got goodies."Zoey said

They gathered on the couch to find a movie to watch.

"Why don't we watch the Goosebumps Movie."Gabby told them

"I've never watched it."Zoey answered

"Well there's always a first time for everything."Alex replied

They watched the movie with Zoey closing her eyes and hiding when Slappy (the stupid doll) came out. Then they ended up staying up until midnight talking and cleaning.

"I'm glad I already texted my mom saying I was gonna stay over here."Zoey said

"Me too or we'd both be in trouble."Gabby stated

"What are you guys still doing up?"Gabby's mom asked

"We went to the hospital and came home and watched a movie and lost track of time so we decided to clean up and head to bed now."Gabby answered quickly

"Okay well Alex you can sleep in our guest room if you would like to. Now you girls head up to bed."

As Gabby and Zoey headed up stairs Alex began to go to the guest room. Gabby's mom went down stairs and got her some water and then went to he guest room.

-knock knock-

Mrs.Fletcher knocked not wanting to barge in on Alex.

"Come in."Alex said

"Hi Alex. I was wondering why you have been spending so much time with Gabby?"

"Oh well I wanted her to meet my parents."

"And why's that?"she asked again
