Not A Cliché Love Story

Part 16

On Monday they went to school. They rode the bus because Alex didn't really feel like driving. When they got to school they went to find Zoey who was waiting for them upstairs by their lockers.

"Hey guys."Zoey said

"Hey."they replied

"What's wrong y'all look a little down in the dumps."

"Do you want to tell her Alex?"Gabby asked him

"Sure."he said quietly

Then he told Zoey the whole story of his parents and how they were in the hospital and his dad still hadn't woke up yet. By the time he finished Zoey had her arms around him hugging him and comforting him. He was glad he had such great friends.

"We're going by after school if you wanna come with us so you can meet them. You can ride the bus home with us and then I can drive us there."Alex told Zoey

"Sure."she answered

Ringggggg

"I'll see you then."Zoey said while walking to class

As Gabby, Zoey, and Alex got on the bus they heard some mean comments about Alex having two girls and things like that.

"Oooo Alex has two girls look at him go."one guy said

"Hey Alex how do you keep them apart from fighting?"another guy yelled

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!"Gabby yelled loud enough for everyone outside to hear it

"Gabby calm down its okay. I've had worse you know this."Alex said calmly

"I know but that doesn't mean that we should just stand by and let it happen again."she argued

"No it doesn't but I can defend myself now and I couldn't then. I've grown since last year."

"Okay fine. Let's just go please."

They got on the bus and waited for their stop with Zoey. When they arrived at their house Gabby texted her mom and told her that she would be home later she was going with Zoey and Alex to visit people at the hospital. Zoey had already texted her mom and so they hopped in Alex's car and headed towards the hospital.

"We're here to visit Elizabeth and Mark Redmond."Alex told the lady at the front desk

"Okay go on in."she replied

They opened the door with a squeak after. His mom woke up with the sound and studied the newest member at the door.

"Who's this young lady?"his mom asked

"This is Zoey. Zoey this is my mom."Alex replied

"It's nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you."Zoey said

"You too. You're just as beautiful as they said."Elizabeth complimented

"Aww thanks guys."

"So how are you doing Elizabeth?"Gabby asked

"I'm doing better. Although I wish Mark would talk to us."

"What do you mean talk? Is he awake?"

"Oh yes he woke up not too long after y'all had left here last night."

"What?!"Mark said as he was waking up"Who's there?"

Alex ran over to his bed.

"It's me dad."

"Oh hello Alex. Who are the two beautiful young lady's you have with you? I'm thinking one may be my future daughter-in-law."his dad said

"Dad this is Gabby and Zoey. Gabby is my girlfriend and I'm hoping that we will last that long."

"Just remember that love comes with trust and respect."Mark said

"Words from the wise."Alex told Gabby

Gabby chuckled.

They sat for a while until the nurse came and told them that visiting hours were over. They left and went to drop Zoey off at her house and then they headed home.

"Goodnight."Gabby said

"Goodnight Gab."Alex said

Gabby laughed at her newest nickname as he kissed her forehead and they parted their ways.
