"Ma! I yelled walking into the house dropping my bookbag by the door. I knew she was home because her car was parked outside
"In the kitchen!" she sang
"Ma I have a very important question to ask you" I said watching her make dinner
My name is Quavious Marshall, sometimes I go by Quavo but that's usually just for close friends or family. I lived in Georgia all my life with my parents and my older brother Quintin. I'm 21 years old currently going to school at Georgia State University for Phycology. My previous major was Physical Therapy but something told me to change it and so I did. I'm also glad that I did because that's where I met Chyanne. Man she was something gorgeous and she had a great personality and we've been hitting it off these past couple of weeks.
"What is it darling?" she asked putting the pot on top of the food taking a seat next to me on one of the bar stools.
"Where did dad take you on y'all first date?" she looked at me confused before answering
"Carrabbas... why?"
"Just asking... is the food good?" I asked
She laughed and made her way back to the stove "Ok son, who is it?"
"Who's who?"
"Don't play with me Quavious..."
she said giving me a stern look
"Ok fine, it's nothing serious yet but I been talking to this girl for a couple weeks and I have to take her on a date on Saturday." I said
"Well then, what's the problem? There are various fancy restaurants in Atlanta." she said laughing
"I don't wanna just take her to some random restaurant ma, I want the first date to be memorable for her."
She chuckled, shaking her head "You always go above and beyond like your father."
"That old man ain't got nothing on me" I said popping my collar
"Mhm, anyways I hope you figure it out, hun" she said placing a plate of food in front of me
"I hope I do too" i said before eating

"Hey dad" I said dappin him up
"Wussup son, how are you?"
"I'm doing alright, you had to tell me something important? I asked looking concerned
"Yeah, step into my office" We made our way to the office but before I stepped in the room my phone buzzed in my pocket.
It was Chyanne.
Chy❤️ : My dorm and some pizza?
Me: Sure, I'm at my dad's office right now, so call it in and I'll pick it up on the way there. and DON'T order them nasty ass wings, I'll pick some up from american deli lol
Chy❤️: you trippin, those wings good as hell lol but iight and get lemon pepper for me. you want me to pay for the pizza and do the wings?
Me: nah i got it all covered baby girl.
Chy❤️: alright ☺️
I locked my phone and shoved it in my pocket
I walked into my dads office and took a seat in one of the chairs giving him my full attention.
"What's going on pops?"
"Well son, business has been booming and money is coming in great everyday but I was wondering if we could "branch out" a bit" he said putting air quotations around the words
"What do you mean by that?" I asked lifting a brow
"Lately when I been closing business deals, I've been offered to do a little business on the side." He paused getting ready to cut to the chase
"I keep getting offered to run a drug business on the side" My eyes grew big
"Are you serious?"
"As a heart attack. Now, I called you down here to see if you would be interested in being involved. Of course, it's not a safe business and I'm not trying to put our family in any form of danger but just think of all the extra money we could be earning on top of the money we are already getting." he said with a smirk
"I don't know pops, you know I'm all for helping you but that's a big decision to make, that type of business is really grimy."
"Which is why I have the best of the best protection here and at home, including our little vacation homes."
he said "Look son, I'm not pressuring you into doing something you don't want to do and I will let you sleep on the answer but you have nothing to really worth about, I got us covered 100%. Not to mention, you got the perfect look... all the tattoos and shit you got going on. Your brother is already on board, all we need is you Quay." I rolled my eyes knowing Quintin would partake in some shit like this.
"I'll sleep on it pop, alright?" I asked standing up from the chair.
"Fair enough son, let me know by next week what you decide" I dapped him up
"Love you son, be safe... oh and tell your new little girlfriend I said hey" I turned around and raised one of my eyebrows
"How did you k-" he cut me off
"Only a female or a check hitting yo deposit could make a man smile from ear to ear and I know damn well I ain't pay you this week so.. "
"See ya later pops" I said walking out the door laughing

I knocked on Chyanne's dorm door
"I didn't order room service" she said through the closed door
"Open this damn door lil girl, this shit is heavy.
"What was that?"
"Chy, open the door please" i said in the sweetest way possible
With that she opened the door and took the pizza boxes from me and placed them on the table. She has a dorm all to herself so she doesn't have to worry about sharing space.
She came over to me and gave me a big hug. "Thanks for paying for everything... again" she said with her face still buried in my chest.
"You don't have to thank me, baby girl. Now what are we watching today?" I asked grabbing a slice of pizza. She grabbed the pizza from me and took a bite out of it. "We are about to watch some law & order re runs if that's ok with you" I snatched my pizza back and ate the rest of it
"That's perfectly fine but let me change into my comfortable clothes"
i said making my way over to her closet that contained a duffle bag of my clothes.

"aww man!" Chyanne said "who would've ever thought the mom caused all this"
"she knew that shit would catch up to her, she was beating the shit out that man for no reason. that's why he did that to that lady" I said shaking my head
"Well, it's only 6 o'clock and we been laying in bed like vampires since 2, lets get up and go somewhere" she said sitting up
I was still laying down, " I don't want tooooooo" i said
"Ok fine we don't have to go out but let's play the X Box Kinect" she said pointing to her tv
"Alright fine, but looser has to clean" i said sitting up
"Bet"
She tied her long black hair in a pony tail and handed me a rubber band so I could do the same to my dreads.
"You ready to get yo ass beat?"
she asked turning it on
"Yeah let's see if you gon talk all that shit while sweeping the floors"
i said smirking
We played for about an hour and I ended up winning all three games
To be fair, I helped her clean the room and afterwards we laid down and watched law & order until she fell asleep in my arms.
I kissed her on the forehead before I drifted to sleep as well.
