"Collin! Hi. Awh, I missed you!" I ran up to go hug him when he answered the door.

"What." I swear, thats always his response when I say hi, and it's never even a question, he just says the word, without any emotion. What a nice kid. Yeah, hello to you too buddy. I watch as his expression goes blank, and he backs away so I won't hug him. Silly boy, when will he realize he's in love with me?

"Savannah's upstairs." He added bluntly, after noticing I didn't respond, and pointing to the stairs. As if I didn't know where they were. For one, I've been coming over to this house since elementary school, and for two, the stairs were clearly right in front of the main door I just walked in.

"Maybe I'm here to see you..." I struggled to keep a straight face saying this. I love making him feel awkward. Of course I was there to see Savannah, she's my best friend, and it's her birthday party later today. I'm always joking around with him, and acting like a complete creep on purpose. He knew it too, but it was still highly entertaining. For me, at least.

Collin was in the seventh grade, just like Aaron. I keep trying to convince them that they should be best friends, but no. Collin is a bit socially awkward, is obsessed with video games like Minecraft and Portal 2, and is somewhat overweight. But, he does look like he's been getting skinnier lately, so good for him! Maybe then he'll resemble his two older sisters, who are basically twigs.

Back to what I was talking about, Aaron is decently popular. Don't ask me how, because I won't be able to come up with an answer, but he is. So, that, and the fact that Aaron and Collin never really liked each other, is why they can't be friends. Although it would be convenient, me and him having best friends in the same family.

"Mikayla, hi!" Right as I was about to walk up the stairs, Cammie, the youngest in this household, ran up to hug me. She was adorable. You know, when she wasn't being annoying.

"Atleast somebody gives me hugs." I said while hugging her back, glancing at Collin when I said the word 'somebody'. Cammie giggled. Collin walked away.

"Hey, planning on coming upstairs anytime soon?" I glanced up to see Kiah and Savannah looking down from the top of the stairs. Kiah is Savannah's older sister. They looked kinda similar, except Kiah had brown hair. I was good friends with her too. There were times we would actually hang out, without Savannah. That sounds like it would be weird, hanging out with your best friend's sister, and not her, but it really wasn't.

"I was working on it." I ran up the stairs, and into their room, which they shared. I placed my present for Savannah on the floor and sat on her bed.

"Ooooh, can I open it now?" She asked, glancing at me.

"Fine, but act shocked when you open it later."

I already gave her her birthday card at school, on her birthday, which was really Wednesday. We have this nice little tradition, if you really want to call it that, where we write each otherextremely long birthday cards. Like I mentioned, it's not much of a tradition, since we started it about four months ago, when it was my birthday. Even though my birthday comes first in the year, she's older than me. Nine months older, to be specific.
