Come Home

Lexi's POV

I watched his hands as he placed his fingers on the trigger. I felt the cold gun pressing against my head.

"I love you" I whispered as a last hope. Hope that he would.

Then as he was about to pull the trigger I pulled out of his grip and hit the gun as hard as I could. The bullet went off and the gun flew next to mine.

He looked at me with big frightened eyes. I mirrored his expression.

"You were going to—" I said breathlessly

He turned away and ran his hands over his face.

"You were going to kill me" I said

"Damnit!" He yelled

"you were going to kill me" I repeated

He groaned.

Tears fell effortlessly down my cheeks. he was going to kill me. No doubt about it.

"How!?" I said

"Why Zach. Why?" I sobbed

"I don't know Lexi." He said

He moved to wrap me in his arms and I pushed him away. I sobbed harder and I couldn't stop.

Zach came at me and smashed his lips on to mine. Tears still fell down my face as my lips met his.

I wanted to pull away but I couldn't. He tried to kill me and was now kissing me. I'm such a dumbass.

He wrapped his arms around me.

He pulled his mouth away. "I'm so so so sorry lex"

I sobbed harder into his chest. I looked up at him still crying.

"What if I didn't hit that gun away?" I asked

His eyes turned glossy and he stared at me. He knew the answer. My body would be on the ground. I would have been dead. He would have killed me.

"I'm such a dumbass. I hate you Zach. I hate you so much" I sobbed into his chest

Crying to your might-have-been killer. Good job Lexi. Good job you dumb dumb girl.

"I know" he said

I cried harder at this.

Que the the sad music :)

"I hate you so much" I sobbed

"I need you Lexi" he said looking at me "I don't know what I would do without you"

I shook my head at this  "no I can't"

His own tears fell now

"I know I'm careless Lexi. I know. But please forgive me"

I pulled away from him.

"No" I said

"Please come home" he begged me now

My mind swirled with everything that happened. I can't.

"No" I said walking backwards towards my truck that now had a window broken.

His eyes killed me.

"No" he whispered.

"Zach I can't!" I screamed

"Please" he begged

"No" I whispered and got into my truck.

He stood there while I pulled out. He watched. Then dropped to his knees crying. I drove away and silent tears fell down my cheeks.

"Goodbye Zach" I whispered
