I got a letter from home, it was the princess and princes ball and I was dreading it because I don't have a date and everyone pretty much hates me because of how crazy or reckless I am "Hey Star, I can hear your groans from my room, what's the matter?" I sigh and jump into my bed "I got invited to a ball, but I don't want to go because I might get judged by other princess and princes and I really don't know anyone there or a date" I close my eyes and sigh "I could be your date, just as friends unless your still mad from the blood moon ball?"

I can't be mad from that, that was like forever ago "You really want to be my date? What if they talk about us in a bad way? I don't like it when people talk behind my back and stuff" "who cares, I'm with you and that's what matters and your there to have fun right?" I nodded "Then it's settled were going, when is this ball?" I look at the invitation "Tomorrow night"
He nodded and went to his room and I walk into my closet for a dress for the occasion but I'm really dreading it but if Marco goes, then I'll be alright I guess..the next night we got ready and a carriage came for us

"Be safe kids" the Diaz says and I nod and Marco waves at them and we enter the carriage and I sigh because I'm nervous and might make a fool out myself, I was uneasy in my seat and Marco touched my shoulder "Hey relax, you'll do fine, your Star butterfly" I sigh and look out the window and as we got there I saw all the proper princess's and princes. They saw my carriage and made a face and it made me uneasy "I regret coming Marco" he chuckles and we stand up "It'll go by quick, just talking to me and you'll do fine" I nodded and took a breath while Marco extended his hand for me to climb down "Princess Star" I blushed and took his hand "We'll thanks Marco" as I got down I saw Adriana walking by and caught every princes attention "Ugh little miss perfect!" I mumble under my breath and Marco raised an eyebrow "What's so perfect about her? She has two eyes and devil horns, like a male Tom" I giggle and so does Marco "Marco you sly dog" as we continue our banter she comes towards us "I've believe we haven't met, who are you mortal? Such a handsome at that" Marco moved back a little at how close she was to him and it made my blood boil and I step in between "Hey there...yeah hi, can you not get in his bubble, I'm the only one allowed to do that Adriana" she rolls her eyes "Oh Star, still marking territories aren't you?" I glare and blush a little "He's not really fond of demons, he almost died if I didn't find him" she smirked and looked at him "We'll, not all demons are the same" she says as she blows him a kiss and walks away into the ball and I face palm "I feel very uncomfortable near her, star please stay close to me" I nodded and we hooked our arms into the ball, it was decorated well and lighting was good and boring music.

I just mope and look around and I see Adrianna taking glances at Marco "She's never going to give up" I say "Who's not giving up?" Marco says as he stuff his face with a brownie "Adrianna, she's got the hots for you" he choked and I handed him a cup of lemonade "That's odd and creepy, why do I have to be so darn attractive?" I blush and laugh "Sweet Dreams Diaz, I'm way attractive then you" he pushes my shoulder and we laugh to ourselves and people look at us but I don't care "At least we're having fun, everyone looks so dead, maybe I could tell the DJ or something for popping tunes, come on Marco!" I grabbed his hand and we pushed through the group of boring teens and made it to the DJ "Hello, do you take requests?" He nodded and popped in some better music and everything turned fun "Yay! Let's go dance Marco!" He nodded and we danced with flashing lights and good music and I didn't realize where Marco was and he was pulled aside with Adrianna trying to flirt with him and my anger boiled up and I walked towards them "Hey! He's not interested in you! Move along!" She laughs as if I'm kidding "Oh Star, he belongs to a proper princess. Not wayward princess" that made me snap "I'm perfectly fine the way I am! He cares about me for being myself, sorry I'm not the most perfect princess to please you but you don't have an opinion" as I said that Adrianna smirked and looked at Marco and was inches away from his lips "Don't you dare kiss him" I say holding my hands in fist "Why not? He isn't your boyfriend is he?" I shake my head "He may not be my boyfriend but he likes someone else and I'm not gonna let you smack lips with a guy that won't return your love back" she looked offended and grabbed his face and I pulled her off of him and I took out my wand "Back off Marco you crazy demon!" She looked at me and her eyes began to glow pink "You think you can have everything you want because your a butterfly, but tough luck honey I'm the best!" She began to scream and I froze her in a block of ice "She never learns does she" Marco attacked me with a hug "Thank you Star" I smiled and hugged back "Let's go Marco, I wanna go home" he nodded and we went home

When we arrived I took off my shoes and took off my crown and set it on my vanity "That was fun, did you have fun?" Marco nodded "Yeah, but that demon girl just ruined our fun" I nodded "Want to dance to a slow song. Since we didn't have time to?" He nodded "Sure, I would love too" I put some music on and we danced, we might've giggled through it but it was enjoyable, I blushed at times when he looked at me a certain way and I would say stop but he kept doing it, when it was coming go an end he spun me and we were extremely close that our noses could touch and our cheeks turned red and I back away a little "Uh it's getting late right Marco?" He Nodded and I walked him to my door "Good night Star" I smiled "Good night Marco" he nods and as I go to close something stops it and I open and it's Marco "Um what are you doing?" "This" he grabbed my face and kissed me and I felt my heart racing and my face warm up, never in my life I felt like this in a while "What?" He chuckled "Good night Star" he walked to his room and closed it, he just left me standing there like a love sick fool...god he's so attractive
