As I brush my hair I hear a sound coming from my room, I received an email from home, weird? As I open it and skim it I groan and walked away from it and thought about it "Hey Star, whoa what's wrong?" I look up and see my best friend "I got invited to the the stars in the sky and I'm not sure if I should go, I have no one to go with" he cleared his throat

"Um hello best friend here, I can totally go with you" a smile grew on my face and I attacked him with a hug "Yay! Now let's get ready" as we got ready and dresses I cut a portal to my dimension and saw the boats and people gathering with their lights "So..how do we get to the...never mind" "What Marco?"

He shakes his head and we paddle towards the middle of the lake and I see mostly couples and family doing this, I wonder what my parents are doing? "Wow so many people do this huh?" I look over to Marco and nod "Yeah, I used to do this with Tom when we were together..but that's the past" I sigh thinking my time with Tom, it was enjoyable doing these kind of things but he had to be a butt and ruin my happiness

"Sorry I asked, it's just I never seen this before its completely new to me" I smiled "Hey it's okay and beside we get to send one up when it's time" he nods and we wait in the boat while the sun goes down, I think I left too early "Star when does this start? I'm getting tired already"

I groan and yawn "In an hour..we wait til the first one is up and then we follow, nobody knows who started this" he looked surprised "Wait, your whole kingdom does this and you have no clue who started this?" I shake my head "All I know was it was a woman, her name was Dylan daze and she wanted to be noticed so she sent the first lantern up in the sky at first my people didn't really know what it was until it came close to my castle"

I point to where my castle is and Marco is looking at me and gasp "What? What's wrong?" He turns my face and I see the lantern floating away and I quickly light mines, as I look at Marco he smiles at me and grabs my hand "Let's hope things turn out the way we want it to be" I blush and we both gently push the lantern up into the sky

It light up everyone's faces and the sky and I still felt his warm hands on me, I look down and blush and look at him, he doesn't even know I'm looking at him..
"They look like star's, so beautiful right Star?" As he looks at me I couldn't help but move closer to him "Yeah thousands of them" I lay my head on his chest and watch as the lights start to disappear

"Wow this was amazing star, we should start our own lantern thing, how cool will that be?" He moved away excited and I just roll my eyes, well at least it lasted a few seconds 'I wish I could of kissed him when I had the chance' I thought and I lay back on the boat and look up at the sky as the lights turn into stars, Marco notices and joins me "Can you tell me we'll be okay?"

I say not looking at him and he chuckles as if it was a joke "Your kidding right?" I stay silent "We'll be okay" I close my eyes and I reached for his hand and interlocked it with mines "Okay" as I turn to face Marco he looked at me with a warm smile "What?" I say smirking

"Nothing" I roll my eyes and face up again and I felt his hands hold my face and give me a soft kiss and I blushed so hard that I would explode "You kissed me Diaz" he nods "I know and I'm going to do it again" I giggled and leaned in to kiss him back, at the end of the night we went home holding on with our pinkies and I just smiled..
