garden in my memory

You are a garden in my memory. My mind loves to visit you all the time--to inhale your flowers and sit in the shade of the maple trees.

I'm afraid to stay here too long--I'll drown in the bird baths and ivory fountains. I'll get lost in the lilac bush maze, I'll fall from the top of the oak trees. I'm afraid I'll never escape, and then I'll be trapped inside this garden--with the walls that reach for the heaven I hope you're sleeping in.

I don't mind visiting this Eden every once in a while, but I can't stay or I'll go mad.
