Not every kid starts high school in junior year. Then again, not every kid is a scrawny gay nerd named Rocky Apollo living in Bum Ass Nowhere, USA. Not every kid has to put up with constant bullying from his Ex-Bestfriend. As if that weren't enough, Rocky has caught the attention of the volatile school bully, who makes him an offer he can't refuse. Help his pass his classes, and he'll teach Rocky to fight.

Alrighty. I have seen this book all over this website. It took me a while to read it because I was in a phase where I only read books with "professional" looking covers or something like that. I thought only books with good-looking covers were good. No offense to the author, the cover is honestly really good now that I look back and I have read it.
This book is amazing. I read it in literally one day which back when I first started reading on here, that was a big deal. When books have the ability to maintain your attention for 30 chapters, you know you've got a keeper on your hands.
One of my favorite things about a book is the progression between the two main characters. By that, I mean how the relationship begins, how it suffers, and how they communicate. This author knows what they are doing when it comes to progression.
This being a book about boxing, the fight scenes were great and detailed. Vivid imagery when it comes to violent scenarios and settings are very important to me. There were not many extreme, detailed smut scenes, but the book is just wonderful without it.
OH and the song up there perfectly describes this book like it's kinda scary
