❝She only ever complains about her looks when she's actually really pretty and it's so annoying. I wish that she would stop being attention seeking.❞

SELF LOVE IS a beautiful concept. Self hate, now that's quite a sad concept. Sad in the way that it's a form of terrible viewings on ones self. Caused by misleading perceptions on how one should look and how one shouldn't. Created by humanity itself.

Self hate is at most times a sign of selfishness or the most commonly used of phrases, attention seeking. She was never the type to be pleased with her looks, and that's what made some people angry with her. However, others could agree with her complaints.

She wasn't allowed to be insecure, because to some she was pretty, yet to others she was not.

Humankind believes that self love means a big ego. Or that you're full of yourself. While self hate means attention seeking. Or selfishness. To translate that, humankind practically believes that it is terrible to love yourself, but also terrible to hate yourself. There is no in between.

She did not like to be fed with compliments, and every time she was she denied them, and for that reason some people were not too keen with her.

She disliked what she saw whenever she looked at her reflection. She studied her flaws. Created by humanity.

Some people questioned how she could think such awful things about her features when she is pretty. Others spoke to their friends about how some people could tell her that her features are pretty when they are definitely not.

She looked at a variety of so called false advertisements and magazines filled with such beautiful people. She compared herself to them. Tried to see if she could find herself in any of them. Tried to see if she could amount to any of them.

She searched and stared at a wave of people surrounding her anywhere and everywhere in public. She compared herself to them. Tried to see if she could find herself in any of them. Tried to see if she could amount to any of them.

She studied and gazed longingly at her friends. She compared herself to them. Tried to see if she could find herself in any of them. Tried to see if she could amount to any of them.

She observed and peered at those who misguided, judged, and led her to believe in her flaws. She compared herself to them. Tried to see if she could find herself in any of them. Tried to see if she could amount to any of them.

The people who agreed with her on her flaws were right. Right? Not the ones who tried convincing her that she had none.

It was confusing. Humanity.
