Call me corny, but the kiss felt electrifying in the least. However, it was more then that.

For a moment, everything was okay. My mothers voice wasn't ridiculing me.
For a moment, I felt safe. And that's a feeling that everyone takes for granted. You never know how much you miss it until it's gone.

And for one tiny second, I swore that through all those webs spun inside my stomach, through the spindly legs of those spiders left my mum, I could feel the flutter of a butterflies wing in my tummy.
