The doctors rushed in, immediately starting the defibrillator and pushing the paddles(idk what they are) to his chest. Each time they went higher and higher in voltage, attempting to bring him back as tears filled my eyes.

After about 10 minutes the doctor looked at his watch with a sigh. "He's... Gone. 10:15pm." He said in a defeated tone.
"I'll go tell his Friends... And contact his parents" he said as he walked off, the nurses soon behind.

I walked over to the bed with the newly declared dead kitten.
"Please... Y-you can't be dead. It should've been me. Not you." I could only whisper as I savored our last moments before his friends would come in.

"You saved me, and I couldn't even say thank you for it..." The tears finally fell.
