Lucianos POV

I watch amusingly as my mother and Sophia walked out of the hospital room. Sophia looks uncomfortable. My mother animatedly chatting away. I couldn't help but chuckle.

" I'm surprised son. Didn't think you'll ever settle down considering your line of work." My father said.

I turn back to him and can't help but nod.

" It's a miracle."

" Course it is. In your line of work one marries the job." He sighed.

I couldn't help but agree. With what we do most of the guys are married. Mostly since they claim to fear leaving a widow and kids behind. I say it's the freedom of doing the hell they want with all their money without someone bitching down their necks.

" I thought it was time." I honestly tell my father.

" That's what you said when you were to marry Loretta. Look what happened there?" He smirked.

" This time it's different."

" Best be because your mother, I don't think she can handle you ditching your future bride. Especially since she seems to like her."

" Does she?"

" Did you not see her now? Her face practically burst into a smile when she saw your girl."

I wouldn't know since I was too preoccupied with Sophia.

" Look Luciano, I'm an old man. I'm sick and dying. All I want to see before I die is you on your wedding day and maybe your son who will carry our family name." He smiled sadly.

I couldn't disagree with my father. He is old and in very bad health. He's in the hospital for Christ sake. Yet I can't promise him a grandchild. I won't convict Sophia to have a child if she doesn't want one. I on the other hand do want children. I come from a big family. So maybe five. Eight the most.

" I'll name my first born after you." I promise my father.

" Run that past the wife first." He chuckled.

The door opened as Michael stepped in.

" Michael, heard my sons getting hitched?" My father grinned at him.

" Yes I did." Michael nodded.

" Think she's good for him? Do you think he's making a mistake?" My father narrowed his eyes slightly as he surveyed at Michael.

" Yes. Yes I think she's good for him. No I don't think it's a mistake sir." Michael answered almost robotically.

" Good." My father nodded.

" Well sir I just wanted to tell you that your daughters are eager to see you." Michael informed him.

" We're done talking son. You have other things to take care of."

Nodding at my father I leave the room and meet my sisters in the waiting area.

" Where's Sophia?" I asked when I didn't see her.
