Nicki was currently at a meeting the people responsible for drakes cause so she could argue why they had to revisit his case.

Judge: so what is your reason for wanting to revisit

Nicki: there's been some new found evidence and suspects that prove Mr. Graham was not responsible or involved in the acts of that night

Judge: can you provide names for us and this evidence

Nicki: I have witnesses and names

Judge: and you are sure that Mr. Graham is not guilty for the crime he is currently serving time for

Nicki: certain

The judge sighed before looking around at the few others in the room who were keen on giving Nicki the opportunity to represent this case a second time.

Judge: we'll set you a court date of 21st of June which will give you just over 4 months to pull your case together. We'll organise for you to have private sessions to meet with you client three times a month, more once we get closer to the court date

Nicki: thank you

Judge: you're welcome

With that they all stood and filed out of the room leaving Nicki alone. She got all of her stuff together before taking her phone out and texting Carlos.

Coffee Date ? Need to talk to you. -Nicki

Sure. Starbucks near work at 12:30 ? - Carlos

She looked at her watch as she walked to her car before responding.

Fine by me - Nicki

She got her car and started her 40 minute drive to Starbucks. By the time she got there Carlos was already inside and waiting for her. She walked in and he stood and they greeted with a hug and said a quick hello before he let her go and get her drink and join him.

Carlos: how are you

Nicki: I'm good thank you and yourself

Carlos: I'm great. It's been so long, where have you been?

Nicki: well I've been dedicating most of my time to Drakes case so I've been working from home since it would be a lot easier.

Carlos: yeah that's fair enough. But what's this you've been hiding from me

Nicki: I don't know what you're talking about it

She smiled slightly knowing exactly what he was on about but refusing to give in.

Carlos: you know exactly what I'm talking about. How far along

Nicki: 17 weeks.

Carlos: aw congratulations

Nicki: thank you,

She took a sip from her drink before placing it back in the table.

Nicki: I would've told people earlier but I wanted Aubrey to know first

Carlos: yeah that's understandable. When did you last see him

Nicki: yesterday actually

Carlos: aw that's nice, it must be really difficult for you both

Nicki: you have no idea. But we have to be strong for each other.

Carlos: yeah definitely

Nicki: it's not long tho now. They gave me a date today so it would be long till he's out

Carlos: aw really, that's great. When have they said

Nicki: 21st of June. And I'm allowed three visits a month to organise it with him

Carlos: so you'll get to see him more often.

She nodded.

Carlos: you really are gonna get him out aren't you

Nicki: I'm not leaving this case until he is

Nicki turned off her lights and set her alarm before heading out of the house and over to Noah's car. He opened the door for her before closing it once she was in.

Nicki: you didn't have to 

Noah: Yes I did. How are you tho 

Nicki: I'm good thanks and yourself

Noah: good to hear and I'm good thank you 

With that they began their drive to the warehouse where they were meeting with Robert and a few other people from his crew who would be filling in for the roles of the other people involved. The drive was fairly long but the pair didn't run out of conversation, especially after stopping to pick up Abel and Jahron.

Noah what do you think he's got for us 

Nicki: It better be what we want or we're gonna have a problem 

Abel: we've just gotta go and find out 

They all stepped out of the car and headed into the warehouse where they were escorted by one of the guys to where they wanted to be. the warehouse was fairly dark and was in quite a state. It was the type of place that most people avoided being in, but the sake of what they wanted, they had no choice but to comply.

They walked in and were offered seats but they all refused, not wanting this "meeting" to take any longer than it was supposed to.

Nicki: so what do you have for us Robert 

Robert: well I have four people for you here who can clearly match and be mistaken for the people from that night

Nicki observed her 4 new culprits and mentally agreed that they could easily take up those roles.

Robert: I also have for you 3 witnesses here, who are of different ages and social class and are therefor more likely to give you a strong case

She again observed here witnesses and mentally agreed with what he was saying

Robert: not what I need from you are more specific details of the clothes they were wearing and the times that things happened so we can create a story that is likely to be believable and not have too much going on at once. Can you do that 

Jahron: yeah we can do that. You just need to make sure you keep your story straight and don't switch up 

Robert: is this not enough evidence that i won't

Abel: we're not completely convinced, but keep working like you are and maybe we could get somewhere

Nicki was too distracted by the little boy sat in the corner playing with a phone to be interested in what was going on between the men. She felt sorry for him having to be dragged into such a horrible situation, but he seemed completely unaffected and unaware of the situation he was in. Nicki walked over to him as everyone watched. She crouched down to his level and reached her hand out. 

Nicki: Hey there little guy,

He looked up at Nicki who smiled at him causing him to smile back. He gave a shy 'hello' back before slowly returning to his game. He and Nicki shared a short conversation as he told her about his game. She then stood back up with a smile still on her face before heading to walk out.

Nicki: he's adorable. I'll pass by yours tomorrow and give you the details you need 

with that she was on her way out with the other guys closely following behind her...
