Chapter 12

Roxy’s POV

I woke up and fell out of bunk. I groaned. The guys aren’t on tour. Why did I fall out of a bunk? I opened my eyes and saw Jacky and Ronnie look at me. “You okay?” Ronnie asked. I nodded. I looked up and saw Derek still asleep. I got up and went to get coffee with Jacky and Ronnie. “So how do you feel?” Ronnie asked. “I don’t really know. I never really expected to find Derek again. I guess I will just have to see how things go.” I said. They nodded. CC called me so I excused myself. “CC, I miss you.” I said. “I know I missed waking up and seeing your beautiful face this morning.” He said. I blushed. “Thanks, I should be back by tonight. I’m gonna spend the day with Derek.” I said. “Okay, I wish you were here. Juliet and Andy are all lovey dovey.” He said. “Oh babe, I will be back before you know it and we can act all lovey dovey.” I said. “Okay. I love you.” He said. “I love you too.” I said. I hung up and headed back in to Starbucks. Derek was sitting at the table with the guys. I walked over and tapped him on the shoulder. Derek turned around and smiled at me. I gave him a hug and sat down. “So what do you want to do today?” he asked. “Well I want to go to you guys’ set today and spend time with you.” I said. He smiled. “Well we will see you guys later then.” He said pulling me up. “Where we going?” I asked. “To a baseball game, the last I remember is we always went to baseball games.” He said. I laughed and hugged him. “Want to borrow my Angels jersey?” he asked. I nodded. He tossed it to me. I went and took a shower and borrowed some shorts and undergarments from Ryan’s girlfriend Jen. Lucky for me we are the same size. I got out and straightened my hair and washed my face. I slipped on the clothes Jen gave me and my black tank top. I slipped on Derek’s Angels jersey and walked out to the front of the bus. “Ready to go?” Derek asked. I nodded and we headed off the bus. Before we left I swear I saw Jacky’s jaw drop. It’s whatever though I don’t care. I’m CC’s girl and I like drummers better they hit it harder. I laughed to myself. Derek laughed at my laugh. “Why are you laughing?” he asked. “You don’t want to know. And do you know why Jacky’s jaw dropped?” I asked. “Because he likes you.” He said. “Oh, Well I feel bad. I only think of him as my brother.” I said. Derek nodded. After a 30 minute car ride we arrived at Tropicana Field. We headed inside. Like always when I was at home I headed up to the nosebleed seats but Derek stopped me. “Our seats are down there.” He said pointing to the first base line. My jaw dropped. He chuckled and led me down to our seats. He got us two beers and two hotdogs. I took a sip of my beer and ate my hotdog. The game soon started and I was having a blast. I soon thought of my parents and Derek when we all went to Angels games. “Derek, why didn’t you go to mom and dad’s funeral?” I asked. He looked down. “I was on tour with a different band at the time and I didn’t have time to come home for it and plus I didn’t want to see you and have you angry at me for leaving.” He said. I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder. “Please don’t leave me again Derek. I don’t want to lose my brother again.” I said. He nodded and kissed my head. I smiled. Soon a foul ball was coming our way and it hit me off the head. I moaned in pain. Derek got me an ice pack and took me to the hospital. An hour later I was leaving with a concussion and some pain meds. “Well let’s get back for the set and get you on a train back to CC before he comes to get you from being lonely.” He said. I laughed and got in the car. We got back to Warped and Ryan looked at me and laughed. “What?!? I got hurt and you’re laughing.” I said and pouted. He frowned. I slapped him and he threw me up on his back. “To the stage!” He yelled. I laughed and he ran off with me to the stage. When we got there Vic and the guys were getting off the stage. “TURTLE!” I screamed. “KITTEN!” He screamed back. I jumped off of Ryan and ran to Tony. I hugged him tightly. “I missed my Turtle.” I said. “I missed my kitten.” He said. Soon we were tackled to the ground by three sweaty guys. “Get off me you sweaty Mexicans.” I said. They all laughed. They got up and helped me up. “I will talk to you later kitten. Enjoy the show.” He said. I nodded and hugged him. He ran off with the rest of the guys. All the guys started running on stage and Ronnie put me on his back. He plopped me down on an amp and started I’m Not A Vampire. I danced along to all the music then all of a sudden I saw Derek fall. I jumped off the amp and ran for him. Ronnie jumped off the stage with me and helped sit Derek up. “Are you okay?” I asked. He shook his head no. I had the security guard call an ambulance and clear the fans away. I had him rest his head on my shoulder. The paramedics lifted him up into the ambulance. “Who is coming with?” they asked. Jacky and I raised our hands. I glared at him and jumped in. I held Derek’s hand. They rushed him off to an operating room. I screamed wanting to go with him. Three nurses had to hold me back. Soon I felt strong arms pull me back and sit on their lap. I looked up and saw Ronnie. “Someone call CC.” I said. Ryan nodded and went to call him. We were sitting around for three hours. A doctor came out. “Relatives of Derek Jones?” he asked. I raised my hand and took Ronnie with me. “Derek has a fractured skull and broke three bones in his foot.” He said. “Will he be okay?” I asked. “Yes, just make sure he takes his pain meds and stays off his foot.” He said. I nodded. I walked over to my brother and kissed his head. ‘We weren’t supposed to come back to the hospital again.” I whispered to him. He laughed. “Ya but we always have fun here.” He said. I laughed. I brushed the hair out of his face. I climbed into the bed next to him and hugged him. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my head. “Remember when you broke your leg when you were three.” He said. I laughed and nodded. “The doctors kept telling me to get out of the bed with you and you kept yelling no.” he said. I nodded. I cuddled into his side. “I’m going to miss you.” I said. “Don’t worry, I will see you once we get back to California.” He said. “I know but it just seems like a lifetime.” I said. He nodded and then CC came bursting through the door. “Roxanne, are you okay?” he asked. I started laughing. “Ryan, did you tell him it was Derek not me?” I asked. “I didn’t say who. I just wanted him to get here fast.” Ryan said. I slapped him and hugged CC. “I’m fine. Derek fell off the stage and fractured his skull and broke three bones in his foot.” I said. He sighed and kissed me. “Derek, how you feeling?” he asked. “Better now that I have pain meds.” He said. I laughed and kissed his head. “I guess I have to get going. I love you.” I said. “I love you too Roxanne.” Derek said hugging me goodbye and kissing my forehead. I said goodbye to the guys and interlaced my fingers with CC’s. We walked to the train station and got on the train. “How was your day?” he asked. “Fun, we went to a Rays VS. Angels game today and then we went back to Warped for their set then to the hospital for Derek.” I said. He smiled. “I’m glad you had fun. Now I missed my pretty little lady.” He said kissing me. I slid onto his lap and continued the kiss. I heard him moan softly. I took it as an opportunity to slip my tongue into his mouth. We fought for dominance and he won. We pulled apart and I looked into those big brown eyes. “You know there isn’t a bathroom on this train and I don’t think your parents will enjoy has having sex in the same house as them.” He said. I chuckled and kissed him. “When we get home to California, I’m all yours.” I said. He smiled and kissed me. I slid off him and rested my head on his shoulder. Soon we were back in Palm Beach and I saw my mom and dad waiting for us. I ran off the train and tackled my dad and mom. We laid there on the ground hugging each other. Soon CC and Willow joined the hug. I laughed and stood up. My dad threw me up on his back and mom grabbed Willow. We walked back to my grandparents’ house and dad threw me into the pool. I screamed and got out. I looked like a raccoon. I pouted and went inside. I took a nice warm shower and put on clean clothes. “You’re lucky CC had my phone.” I said jumping onto my dad’s lap. He chuckled and hugged me. “I missed my rebel.” He said. “I missed you too daddy.” I said hugging him back. I rested my head on his chest while we watched Sleeping Beauty for Willow. Soon enough I passed out because I was so tired. I felt like I was being lifted up. I wrapped my arms around whoever’s neck it was and fell back asleep. I felt someone snuggle in next to me and I wrapped my arms around them. “Goodnight Roxy.” I heard a voice say. “Goodnight Willow.” I said. I looked up and saw Andy at the door mouthing goodnight. I mouthed goodnight and fell back asleep.
