Time (Newt X Reader Book 6)

- Going Insane -

so i will upload two parts today due to the fact i missed some last week, it was my mums birthday so i didnt really have time to write. <3

i woke up caked in sweat, for a second i forgot where i was and expected to see Newt next to me but instead i saw the white metal walls surrounding me and my heart dropped. i peeled myself up from the floor and used my shirt to wipe my face. i wandered over to the door and looked through the window, i couldnt see the door next to mine but i knew Newt was in there, i wanted to see him, to hold him, to tell him i loved him again and again so he didnt forget it. A guard stormed down the corridor with a trolled full of plastic trays, i saw different types of food on them, one of them had nothing but a cup of water, i hope that wasnt for me, but then i hoped that no one else had to go hungry. The guard opened my door and gave me the tray with the cup of water. "Am i supposed to starve?" i said confidently 

"Oh well you can't eat for 24 hours so the test will go well"

"I'm sorry? tests?"

"Yeah now drink" he slammed the door again and i gulped down the water, it wasnt enough, i needed more. the thought of having tests done on me again scared me, my head flashed back to the needles and the pain and the blood and it made me shiver. The guard came back to the room and took the tray. "Hey, are they testing anyone else?"

"Only you and your brother, no one else has any use really we're keeping them for bribing"

"What?"

"See you tomorrow kid"

The door slammed again and i slumped against the wall half relieved and half terrified. I was glad they weren't testing anyone else but then my brother would be there as well, i wanted to see him, if they let me see him. 

I woke up unsure of what time it was and had to pull myself across the floor, i was hungry and dehydrated, i reached the door and pulled myself up using the frame. Outside were people i knew walking down the corridor, they looked pretty happy and healthy, Minho was among them, i banged on the window hoping they would hear me, no one did except Newt. He ran back to me and put his hands against mine, i wished the glass wasnt there. "Greenie, are you ok? you look awful" he said quickly. "Are you ok?" i replied, he nodded, i was happy about that. "Where are you going?" i asked. "outside for fresh air apparently, arent you coming?" he smiled, one of the guards ushered him away, he shouted 'i love you' and before i could reply i fell back onto the floor.
