Troye sighed as he waved goodbye to his friends. Now he was left alone in the amusement park for another two hours.

He had told his parents to pick him up at 6:30, but apparently Troye had mixed up the times, and his parents were still stuck at work until 6 o'clock anyways.

Troye decided to make the best of it and go on the ride  his friends refused to go on; Thunder Mountain

Thunder Mountain was the tallest rollercoaster in the park, and although Troye had a fear of heights, he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to go on the coaster. He had a mission to go ok every ride, and this ride was the last one he needed to complete the list.

Slowly, Troye walked his way to the coaster. As he found the beginning of the line, he let out a groan as he noticed there was a good 45 minutes to an hour wait, and he had to spend it alone.

However, the person standing in front of line noticed Troyes distress, figuring that maybe if he started a conversation with the boy, the time would go by quicker.

"You riding alone?" the green eyed boy asked, looking at Troye up and down. Troye only nodded in response. "Why?"

"All my friends left," Troye informed the stranger.

"Well, my friends are wusses, so I'm riding alone as well," he smiled. Troye couldn't help but smile as well. This stranger had such a beautiful smile.

"The names Connor, by the way" The stranger said.

"Troye," The blue eyed boy replied. Connor smiled again, saying how the name was cute and fitting for someone like Troye.

As they got closer to the front of the line, Troye noticed how Connor would fiddle with his hands and wipe away sweat from his forehead.

"Are you nervous?" Troye asked, catching Connor's attention.

"I mean... well...yeah." Connor stated simply, looking as the coaster sent another cart out onto the track. Troye placed a hand on Connor shoulder.

"Hey, i'm nervous too. We can be nervous together."

"Sit by me on the ride?"

"Of course."

After what seemed like years of waiting, Connor and Troye had finally managed to get onto the ride. They were four carts away from the front, six away from the back. Troye's heart was beating rapidly as the worker put her thumb up, telling the controller that everyone was strapped in safely.

With a jerk, the cars  started up the hill, climbing at a painfully slow rate. Connor bit his lip and Troye closed his eyes. He didn't want to look down, he was too scared.

"Can we... you can...can we hold hands?" Connor asked, causing Troye to open his eyes and look at Connor in shock. His smile softened, however, and he took a hold of Connor's hands - some of his fears leaving his mind completely.

Before they knew it, they had reached the top of the mountain.

As they were going down, neither of them broke apart their hold, instead they threw their hands in the air - still interlocked - as they screamed their hearts out.

Just as fast as it had started, it ended. Both boys attempted to hide their disappointment as they made their way to the photos.

One they spotted it, Troye blushed in embarrassment.

There, in the photo, their hands were still interlocked. Connor looked like he was having the time of his life, the biggest smile was plastered on his face. Troye, however, was looking at Connor, biting his lip.

"we're totally buying that," Connor decided, without question, as he walked over to the lady controlling the monitor.

Ignoring Troye's protest, Connor bought two pictures. One for him and one for Troye.

"Connor, you didn't have to do that," Troye explained, walking over to Connor as he borrowed the lady's pen to jot something down.

"But I wanted to, besides -" Their conversation was cut short by a group of people, calling Connor's name. Troye had assumed those were his friends.

"Look's like you must get going," Troye sighed, looking down at the ground. "Thank you for, you know, buying this for me."

"it was my pleasure, troye boy," Connor winked as he turned on his heels.

"Will I see you again?" Troye questioned, loud enough for Connor to hear.

"Turn your picture over," Connor smiled before running to his friends.

And so Troye did, revealing 10 digits and the words 'call me.' underneath.
