Troye's pov

I am still sitting at my table when the boy walks in, our eyes lock and and my heart starts beating faster. Before I know what is happening I realize he is walking towards me. The mystery boy is standing in front of me now, I am in absolute shock.

"Hi, my name's Connor."

Oh no. No, no, no. Why did he try to talk to me? I start panicking, I remember the pen and notebook I always have in my backpack.
I pull out the notebook and pen, I look up at the mystery boy ,whose name I now know, and he is waiting patiently for me to answer him.

"Hi, I'm Troye"

I write my name on the piece of paper and show it to Connor, a look of confusion crossed his face. "Well, Troye" Connor stops to look  at me. "Can I sit?" He asks looking at the chair opposite of me. I nod taking the notebook back.
I can feel Connor looking at me. My face starts to heat up from embarrassment.
I look up to see Connor admiring Rise. I click the pen and start writing.

"So, have you ever been here?"

Even if I did talk, it would still be awkward. Connor is reading what I have written down. I see the corners of his mouth slightly twitch up in a smile.

"Yeah actually I come here a lot, what about you? I don't think I've ever seen you here."

The whole time he is talking I kind of admire his face. I quickly get lost in thoughts. I notice the scar he has above his eyebrow, his bright green eyes, and the way he chews his lip while reading. After he is done talking, I take my pen and paper back and begin to write him an answer.

"Yeah, I come here as often as I can, although it's usually at night like right now"

As if Connor forgets it is almost 11 o'clock he looks out the window.

"Right, so um." the boy starts talking but seems a bit flustered about what he was about to say. "Why aren't you talking? Not that there's anything wrong with writing I'm just curious?"

Ah there it is, I am wondering why he hasn't asked me sooner about the whole not talking thing. I take the notepad out once again and write down a short answer for Connor.

"I'm mute."
