The Truth

Chapter 7

3 days later they drove home and wheeled Caleb out of the backseat and into the house. They laid him on the couch and handed him the remote. The family brought his stuff upstairs since he is in a wheelchair for about a month. They laid a mattress on the ground in front of the couch, and brought up his computer. A couple more smaller things like pillows and blankets and he was set. He fell asleep on his bed.

He woke up around 6pm and the family was at the table eating dinner. Using my arms I set myself in the chair and wheeled over.
"Hey Caleb! How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay. Why didn't you wake me up for Mac and cheese! It's my favorite and you know that!"
He wheeled into the kitchen and got a small spoonful of the gooey cheesiness. Annie got up and pushed his wheelchair. He ate about half of it. He got out of surgery about a week and a half ago. Nobody expected him to be hungry. At least he got something into his stomach. He went over to the counter and played on his computer. He filmed a short video and fell asleep editing it. His mom walked into the kitchen and saw him sleeping so she called Billy over and they lifted him over to the bed. He woke up right as he hit the mattress and it starled Katie and Billy. They all busted out laughing.

Caleb's point of view
I woke up the next morning and Annie and Hayley were on the trampoline. As I watched trough the window, I saw Hayley do a roundoff and then a front tuck. Annie started clapping and hugging her. 'When did she get that skill?' I thought. I went back to editing and uploading my video to my channel. This was becoming the new normal. I woke up, and played online, then watched some tv, ate a small snack, minecraft, ate dinner, fell asleep. Today mom interrupted my 'normal' I woke up to her shaking me gently and saying. "You need to get dressed. We are going somewhere."
"I don't wanna go." I groaned and pretended to fall back asleep.
"It's a surprise. And trust me you wanna come."
"fine."
