2. Happy Birthday

I woke up with a smile on my face. Why? You ask. Well of course, it's my birthday. The big 18. I'm finally going to meet my mate. I can't wait.

I ran into Tai's room and of course he was still asleep.

"Wake up! It's our birthday!" I screamed as I jumped on top of him.

He groaned and shoved me off of him.

"Cmon Tai. Get up sleep head"

"5 more minutes"

"5 minutes and that's it"

I left him in his room and danced my way downstairs.

"Happy Birthday my beautiful girl" my mother said while wrapping me up in a hug.

"Thank you mum"

"Happy birthday princess" dad said while hugging me as well.

"Thank you dad"

When I was younger I used to get so confused between my dad and his brother since they are identical twins.

It had been ten minutes and Tai still wasn't done. I filled up a jug of water and ran up to his room. He was snoring his head off. Typical Tai.. Always falling back asleep once I had woken him up.

I walked towards him and tipped the water over his head. He woke up with a gasp and sprung out of the bed.

"What the f*ck Violet!"

"You said 5 minutes and it's been 10 so I had to wake you up somehow"

He flashed his sharp teeth at me and I smiled innocently.

"Violet! Tai!" Dad and Jace yelled at us.

I quickly ran downstairs and Tai followed behind me slowly.

In the lounge room there were many presents from the pack members to me and my brother.

I hugged everyone that was in the room and we started opening our presents.

I got a bracelet from my parents and some money to go shopping. And also a nice holiday overseas somewhere. I got a locket from Sebastian. A photo frame with heaps of photos of me and Tai from him and basically a whole new wardrobe from the rest of the pack.

I thanked everyone for their generous gifts and started to get ready for the party that was being held for Tai and I. I couldn't really focus on enjoying my birthday, I was too focused on Alpha Reid. He could come and attack any day now. He had already taken out the pack besides us so he could just be waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

I jumped in the shower and washed my hair, washed my body and shaved all places that needed to be shaved. I needed to be presentable for the party and especially if my mate is going to be there. I didn't want to get my hopes up too high, my wolf has been quiet so I was trying to stay calm about the whole situation.

I got dressed into a tight black dress that had long sleeves and went down to mid thigh. I paired it with black high heels with straps around the ankles.

I straightened my long hair and parted it through the middle and applied my makeup to a natural but sexy look.

I obviously wanted to look good if I found my mate.

I walked downstairs and Sebastian had his back to me. He turned around, noting my presence, and we locked eyes.

He sighed and looked away when he noticed that he wasn't my mate.

I hugged him and he hugged me back extra tight.

"Thank you for my present Seb. I love it"

"No worries. You look gorgeous by the way. Whoever your mate is will be lucky to have you"

"What about if I don't find him today Seb"

"The only way you're not going to find him is if he's from another pack. Then I'm sure your dad will organise a ball for you to find your mate"

"I don't want him to be from another pack. I don't want to leave here"

"Cmon say it Violet. You'll miss me to much" he said with a smirk.

I hit his chest and he chuckled.

"Let's go celebrate"

He handed me a glass of champagne as we got to the backyard where the party was in full swing.

I looked towards my family and they were pretty much all arguing with their mates. I had been told of what had happened when they were teens. Lots of rejection. But they had all won back the hearts of their mates and fell in love. So cliche if you ask me.

"Dance with me" Seb said holding out his hand.

I took it gracefully and he twirled me around perfectly.

"I didn't know you could dance Seb"

"I have many hidden talents Vi" he said smirking at me.

"Vi" I heard the joyful scream of my little sister Avalon.

I scooped her up in my arms and spun her around.

"Hey there munchkin!"

"Happy Birthday"

"Thank you sweet pea"

"Hey Avalon" Sebastian said to my sister with a smile.

She hid away from him and he chuckled.

She was so scared of Sebastian. I could never really figure out why. She's just never liked him.

'Vi! Get your warriors prepared' Tai said through mind link.

'Why? Tai what's happening?'

'They're here. They're attacking'
