It was the day of the hometown show.

There was Mark preparing the merch up front.

There was Tyler and Josh's family helping set up the stage.

There was Tyler and Josh deciding what to wear...

"I think we should finally wear the skeleton hoodies.  You know, as a constant thing." Tyler stated.

A while after getting the first skeleton hoodie at that thrift shop one day, the two decided to order another one for them to have the two hoodies together.

"I think we should too. Hood or no hood?" Josh asked as he slipped the hoodie on.

Tyler put his on, "Hm, I'm thinking maybe just the hood for one song. The starting song. Then no hood for the rest of it."

"Sounds good to me. This show is going to be epic. I can feel it!" Josh exclaimed.

"I feel it too. I feel it too."

They were on in two hours.

"Let's go look at the line outside." Josh suggested.

They walked over the window that overlooked the front of the venue.

The line was just starting to fill greatly and the two were beyond excited.

"Dude, are you seeing this?!" Josh exclaimed.

"No way!" Tyler estatically said.

"I'm getting pumped now."

"Me too. Okay, okay, okay, we got this. We got this!"

"Heck yeah we do! Come on, handshake!"

The two did their overly complicated best friend handshake and ended with a hug.

"Thanks for being a part of this with me, Josh."

"Of course, Tyler. There's no one else I'd want to do this with."

They broke from the hug.

"Was that weird?" Josh asked.

Tyler laughed, "No, not at all. Love you, bro."

"Love you too, brahdy."

Tyler looked out to the line again.

He started getting nervous.

"I'm going to head to the bathroom for a sec."

"Okay, I'm going to take a breather then."

Tyler started to walk to the bathroom, but took a turn instead and went down the hall and ended up at a dead end.

He looked around where he was standing.

The walls surrounding this dead end were covered with words and phrases.

Tyler sat down and looked at them all.

'Follow me on myspace'

'Aliens are real trust me'

'There's a snake in my boot'

'1 + 1 is 11 if you think about it'

Tyler chuckled at all the words and phrases. However, there was one that really stuck out to him.

'If you are a local band... kill yourself' it read.

Tyler looked at the phrase long and hard.

I'm in a local band? He thought.

Should I kill myself? He thought as he got up to look at it.

i've been telling you that for years.
