"Hey Elijah have you heard from your child ?" Leah's mother asked calling her ex husband
"Uh no last I heard from her was when I picked her up from the hospital and she wanted me to drop her off at a hotel" Leah's father said
"Well I thought her and Jamarcus were staying with you..."
"Nope she is at a hotel" He said interrupting her
"Nope not buying it,something is wrong, Leah isn't picking up her phone and she hasn't call me I know when something is wrong Elijah" Her mother said getting worried
"Lee calm down I will call her and call you back ok ?" He said talking calm
"Okay hurry up" She said hanging up
"I.." He looked at the phone "How you gonna tell me to hurry up then hang up" He said dialing Leah's number
"Hey daddy" Leah said sounding happy
"Hey princess everything ok ?" He asked
"Uh yeah everything is fine me and Jamarcus are out and about looking for furniture for this new apartment I just got well about to get and he wanted me to get a three bedroom one for me one for him and one for all his toys I told that little boy he needs to have plenty of seats" She said laughing
"He's just excited about it just being you and him and the new baby" Elijah said laughing
"Yeah I know but do you think I should get a three bedroom ? you know for the baby ?" She asked sounding concerned
"I mean I wouldn't but I'm not a woman so I don't know I've never been pregnant" He said sounding careless and like playing
"Dad why did you call me ?" She asked laughing
"Oh yeah your mother wanted me to see if you were ok cause you haven't call her and stuff so she's just being a mother concerned about her child" He said
"She wasn't concerned about me when she let him come over her house and force me to talk to him yeah things were good for a minute but after a while it went bad because she allowed him to come over and talk to me" She said sounding like she really didn't care about her mother
"Leah.."
"Dad tell her this I'm not answering her calls and I'm not calling her because I don't want to talk to her" She said interrupting him
"Sweetheart don't do that to your mother do not cut her out of your life because she thought she was fixing something that couldn't be fixed" He said getting serious
"I already did" She whispered "Look dad I gotta go just tell her what I said ok ?" She asked
"Okay baby I love you and tell Jamarcus I got a toy coming in the mail for him" He said
"I love you too and I sure will" She said
"Okay bye" He said hanging up
She looked down at her phone and debated about calling her mother "No I'm not I should but then again I shouldn't because I know how she is but then again she doesn't deserve to hear from me" She said thinking to herself "Oh my God I'm terrible she probably thinks I don't love her anymore" She said about to call her "Leah call your mother right now" She said to herself.
She thought about it for a minute "Gosh Leah call her and call her now" She said to herself she rolled her eyes and pulled out her old phone and dialed her number
"Oh my God Leah thank God honey are you ok ?" Her mother asked sounding relived
"Yeah I'm fine mom" She said trying to talk happy
