This morning I asked myself the question.
Am I a Christian?
I thought to myself.
Of course you are. How could you even ask that question?
But often, I've been defining myself more as a child of God, a follower of Christ, over being an actual Christian.
Over everything, I value my relationship with God. I am not concerned with placing myself in a set group.
Religious groups do not earn eternity in heaven. A spiritual relationship, along with actions are what will get us into Heaven.
Many religions tend to focus on following doctrines when we should be focused on following Christ and helping him gain more followers.
If I were asked, I'd probably say I was a Christian, however I like to define myself as A daughter of God.
