Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another
To be jealous is to envy someone because of what they have. The Lord does not want us to be jealous. He wants us to have perfect love
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." (1 Corinthians 13:4-5).
It is so easy to fall into jealousy. There is always someone out there that is more fortunate than he next person.
However, the way we handle it is what we as sons and daughters of Christ need to focus on.
We should focus more on what we have and not what others have. If we are being envious of someone else, we are basically telling God that we are unsatisfied with what he'd provide us with. We should forever be grateful to God, jealousy contradicts that, solvers not envy others. Smile upon the more fortunate just as you would the less fortunate.
