The morning comes too quickly, and my stomach flips at the thought of seeing Roman after what happened in my room. Had there been something behind the fact that he told me to ask for him to kiss me? Had he tried to tease me on purpose?

"It'll be okay, you know?" Aria tells me.

I sigh, helping her pack my bag, "I don't know what to think about him anymore."

She smiles, "at least you can see the bond is at work. After he left your room, he actually smiled at someone."

I raise an eyebrow at her, "really?"

She nods, zipping up my bag, "I told you, Lena, you're changing him for the good."

"I'm worried about this trip. There are other alphas there, unmated alphas. What happens if-" I stop, feeling worry overcome me again.

"Roman wouldn't let any of them touch you, let a alone look at you. I can see his possessiveness already. Look what happened when you brought up Simon," she says.

"You know Simon?" I question.

"He's the Beta, of course I know him," she blushes and looks down. "Let's get  this down stairs."

I hold it down on the bed, "wait, is there something between the two of you?"

Her cheeks flush redder, "Lena, I can't tell you. You're the Luna."

I frown, "please."

She sighs, sitting on my bed, and I sit next to her. She closes her eyes, "we're mates."

"Does he know?" I ask.

She laughs, "of course! We just- I was born an Omega, Lena. We are from two opposite ends of the hierarchy. The alpha forbids those unions from happening, and so he keeps our status a secret. I love him, Lena, and he loves me. I just don't know how long I can keep living apart from him."

"I'll talk to him, we'll figure out a way to make sure that you don't have to keep the fact that you're mates a secret anymore," I promise her.

She smiles, "thank you."

"Anytime," I respond, standing. "Now, let's get downstairs."

I pick up my back and we walk out of my room. She follows me downstairs and I see Roman speaking to Simon. I feel my cheeks warm when his eyes land on me and he winks.

I hear Aria giggle from next to me, and I give her a scorning look, but can't help the smile that forms on my lips.

Her giggle catches Simon's attention, and his eyes fall on her. Immediately they soften and fill with a love I've never seen before. A longing, needing, love. It makes me sad that they have to be apart.

His eyes fall on me, and fear fills them. I smile reassuringly, and he visibly relaxes.

"Hi, Simon," I greet.

He bows his head slightly, "Luna."

I glance at Aria, who is blushing deeply with her head down, "Simon, will you help Aria with my bags?"

His face brightens slightly, "of course."

He walks over and takes my bag from her and they walk outside together.

I look at Roman, frowning.

"What?" He asks.

"How long have you known that they are mates?" I question him.

He shrugs, "since the day they found out themselves."

"And yet you forbid them to be together?" I growl. "Just because you're unhappy doesn't mean you can make everyone else suffer, too."
