Run and hide

Animila's Pov

We run deep in to the forest trying to get away from the town. I lead them through knowing this forest like the back of my hand.

"Animila wait. We can't keep up." Aqua says behind me.

I stop and turn around.

"Do you know how dangerous it is to stop? Things changed. He's not normal. He's lost it. Now we have to run and hide. We can't do anything like this." I say.

I see the sadness form in Aqua's eyes. I sigh and calm down.

"I'm sorry Aqua. I'm just a little on edge. Now please let's go. I have something I need to try but I have to do it further away from here." I say.

Aqua nods and we continue running. We all stay quiet as I lead them to one if my hide outs I had found when I was 12.

I think about the trick I want to do. The side affects to that trick is very dangerous. But I need to do it or we'll be sitting ducks if we have to fight Alric.

I shudder slightly. Even I am still a little shaken up by this. The one time I let my wall down to really love someone again he ends up going off the deep end.

But that's not what really worry me. What worries me is he is craving power. The stronger he gets the more he can sense. What if he can sense through my glamour? Or track us down by our essence?

We finally get to my old hide out. A cave. From the outside you can not see a thing. The inside has a maze of tunnels.

"Welcome guys to my old hide out. I found this place at 12. We should be safe here. Follow me." I say.

We walk deep in to the cave. I find old provisions there. A tent. A basket. A rope. Things like that.

"Listen I know this is going to be hard but things are different. We have to stay on the run. No one can leave this cave. Only I'll leave this cave because I know this cave and forest like I know my own self." I say.

Everyone nods and looks around. They try to take everything. It is a lot. Their life changed in a matter of minutes.

"Now that we are somewhat settle, I might as well tell you what I'm about to do." I say.

I take a deep breath and start.

"I am going to preform a trick that will prevent my feelings for Alric from stopping me from going against him if and when needed. Basically I'll remember all of my feelings but they will be surpressed or locked away in a sense." I start.

"But there is side affects to it." I continue.

"What side affects?" Aqua asks.

"It can make me act very different around him.Which means I may not be stable around him." I answer.

"Is that safe?" Flora asks.

"It should be but right now I don't have a choice. Face it none of us want to face him. You guys knew him longer. I can't do that to you guys." I say.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Fauna.

"Yes I am. Now just stay here while I go. No one should be around me since this is a very complicated trick." I say.

I walk away and go to another spot. I stand quietly and focus on it. I feel the changes happen. It's basically putting a glamour over my feelings. It was harder because my feelings for Alric are stronger than it usually would be for this type of trick.

I don't know how this is going to turn out. This is one crazy twist.
