The broken and fragile

Part 19: shock

"Hey little wolf it's alright I'm just trying to help." I slowly made my way to her and had to force my self not to stop as she started to shake. As much as I wanted to stop so she'd calm down she did need some help.

When I made it to her I reached out and grabbed the edge of the pants that were around her ankles which made her try to scoot farther into the corner. But I needed to help her, she needed to know I wasn't going to hurt her. 

I brought the pants up over her legs until they were right under her butt. Sadly I couldn't get them on completely with out some work on her part. And at the moment I don't think I'll be getting it. So I backed up away from her about three feet to give her some room to calm down.

"Hey little wolf..." It took her a minute but she calmed her shaking and focused on me. I nodded down to her legs that were now covered by the gray material. "See just trying to help, that's it." 

She looked down to the pants that were now on her and then back to me like she was trying to figure something out.

Next thing I know I'm the one whose laid out on the floor as she pretty much just attacked me.

She was laid on top of me with her arms wrapped tightly around my neck and her head buried under my chin.  Words escaped me as I let her hold me. I didn't know why but she was rather happy I helped her dress. Overly happy.

I brought a hand up and rested it gently on her back while I put the other one in her hair. Sliding it down  through her gorgeous locks. I repeated the process several times, not once did she move. She seemed to be extremely calm at the moment. 

I wasn't one to complain about her warming up to me. I was thrilled in fact. But she's been in a coma for too long. As much as I'd just like to lay here on the floor with her I also really wanted her to eat. I never again wanted to see her in the state she was when she got here.

"Come on Scarlet let's go get some food, I'll carry you." She responded slightly by loosening the grip on her arms and nodding her head but besides that she stayed put in her spot.

I decided to let her be as she seemed happy and comfortable and I couldn't deny her that. I reached down to pull the pants up all the way a they were still hanging down a bit. No one needed to see her like that.

Very careful I stood with her still on me, she wrapped her legs around me able to cling to me better now. I held both arms around her back tightly.

Turning my head to the side slightly I looked at her mane of hair and her head rested on my shoulder. A small smile coming to my face as I looked upon my lovely mute mate who just wanted to hold me right now for some odd reason. Not everything had gone right but I'm happy that she's safe here in my arms.

I tightened my hold around her softly while leaning my head on hers to where I could whisper in her ear. "I'll never drop you love."

Okay yes I haven't updated in awhile I'm sorry.

I was going to wait to update until i had quite a few more done but everyone's been wanting a update so I figured I'd post this one.

Been super busy lately but I'll try to update more.

And just wow look at all these readers and votes we got.
