Jared's POV
I skidded to a halt when I entered Scarlet's room. I wasn't as graceful as I had hoped when I fell on my side on the floor. I obviously should of slowed down.
I snapped out of my pained daze when a nurse hurriedly entered the room. She came to stand next to the doctor who was currently putting some sort of liquid into Scarlet's tube that was in her arm.
I looked to Scarlet now hearing the usually beeping that filled the room and that I had grown accustomed to. But it was different, it was much faster. Scarlet's body was jerking around on her bed in what seemed to be a seizure.
I stood and hurried my way to her opposite side of the doctor. My eyes were most likely wide with fear as I stared upon my mate who looked like she was dying. I looked to the doctor when I heard him speaking to the nurse telling her to go get something. "What's wrong with her?!" I asked him frantically needed to know she was okay.
She hasn't moved at all in like two weeks and now she was seizing. I'm not a doctor but that didn't exactly shout GOOD to me.
The doctor glanced at me quickly before turning his attention back to his current task as he spoke to me. "Her heart rate randomly spiked, we don't know what's wrong. I gave her a sedative to hopefully help her but there's not much else I can do. My only guess is that she started dreaming of something that scared her to a great extent." He informed me on everything he knew quickly while still trying to get Scarlet to stop seizing.
I looked to my mate as she thrashed around. Her hair flying all over the place, her body arching and relaxing at a rapid rate. I couldn't take it.
I grabbed her hand gently just like I had so many times before. Stroking the back of it softly with my thumb. I don't know what to do but I need to calm her down.
I leaned in to her resting my head on her shoulder as I tried holding her. Her body still jerking around in my arms. I brushed her hair gently while holding her hoping that some how I could calm her but her body didn't slow down at all.
I can't loose her not now, not ever. I needed her, she was my everything. "I need you Scarlet...My little wolf. Please relax, it's okay." I whispered to her quietly hoping she could hear me. Hoping I could comfort her.
I kept brushing her hair softly loving the feeling on my hand but not wanting to focus on that at the moment, I had more important things to do right now. "I'm here for you little wolf, I'll protect you....No one will hurt you I won't let them." I whispered it softly to her knowing if I was to loud she'd probably get more scared. If she could hear me.
