Jared's POV

The next three days went by rather slowly. I was at Scarlet's side at all times. The nurses would bring me in food at times and I made sure Ben either brought me my work or he took care of it himself.

I've cut back lately I couldn't focus on anything but her.

The nurses offered to bathe Scarlet for me so she wasn't all dirty. I refused them, I hated the thought of someone touching her.

I let them check up on her and change the bandage around her head though, with great restraint from myself.

I'd hope that she would of woken by now. The injury on her head had healed some, not enough, but some. They had to give her stitches at the gash that was made, which seemed to of helped her healing processes slightly. The wound still looked nasty but it was noticeable better.

Or maybe that was just me getting my hopes up and seeing things that weren't there.

I snapped out of my gaze on Scarlet, imagining that her eyes would shoot open at any moment and she would jump me. Clutching my body close as we fell to the ground and she laid her lips upon mine. I wished so badly to know what they felt like but I wouldn't dare take advantage of her like that.

Someone had cleared their throat behind me quietly, although with my enhanced hearing I could hear it perfectly fine.

I turned to see Ben leaning against the door frame of the room. His arms were crossed across his chest as well as his legs crossed at his ankles.

I stood making my way to him slowly looking back at Scarlet every few seconds to make sure she was still okay. Or to even see if miraculously she had awoken.

The longer it took her to wake up the more jumpy I got. While I have been sleeping and eating it's not as much as I should be doing. I gave all my attention to her, which would explain my problem with working lately.

I stood in front of Ben while still taking occasional glances back to Scarlet. "Yeah?" My voice was hoarse from lack of food and sleep. I was to focused on Scarlet to say more then that. Or to even come up with a intelligent sentence.

"The survivors that agreed to meet with you are here. I left them in your office under the guard of Duncan." He explained to me his reason for being here since he obviously wasn't bringing me any work seeing as how his hands were empty. His voice was filled with sympathy and I didn't bother to be effected by it. I had more important things right now.
