Jared's POV
I stalked forward ready to rip apart the coward of a doctor that dared tell me my mate was in a coma. They was no way she could be. She couldn't leave me like that.
When I reach my hand up high with my claws extended ready to swipe down and strike the pathetic man my arm was secured and my body was being dragged back with quite a struggle.
Ben had a hold of my arm while Grant and Aiden had their arms wrapped around my torso. It was a fight between me and them as we went back and forth. Our feet scrapping against the floor as we took turns dragging each other across the tiled floor.
The doctor retreated back a few more steps when he was saved from my impending wrath. But I wasn't done yet.
I could feel my canines start to protrude from my jaw as my wolf instincts starting taking over my body. Wishing to cause harm to anyone who dared stop me from protecting my mate.
"Calm down dude, she wouldn't want to see you like this." I could hear the voice as a hum in my dazed and enraged state.
At the words I started relaxing. Scarlet would flinch from me when I would just go to touch her hand. Even though she's more comfortable around me now if she saw me like this she would be frightened.
My canines retracted into my body as I seized my movements. The arms that held me slowly start to release me from their bond. I looked to my right at Ben as he was the one that spoke to me.
I gave him a slight nod in appreciation and turned my attentions back to the still frightened doctor. I took a step forward and he took an equal step back still cautious of the Alpha that almost ripped his head off.
I gave a release of breath to calm myself further before speaking. "What do you mean she's in a coma?" I asked with a much calmer voice to the man in-charge or taking care of my beloved.
He looked down at the chart that he had in his hand after he realized how much calmer I am now. He continued to flip through a few pages and scrunched his eyebrows into a furrow as he read through some things.
After a few moments he looked back to me with a saddened expression of the sorts. " It seems that her wolf is not present with her. While she still has her wolf inside of her it seems to of closed itself off. And because of that it makes her healing much slower then it should be. Which has reduced her into a coma until her body can fully heal." He told me all of this with a calm and collected voice.
While I took it in I couldn't help but wonder why her wolf would leave her like that. "Do we know why her wolf is closed off?" I took a step forward to the doctor hoping to find the answer.
