Chapter Eighteen
"Will you at least tell me where he lives?" Julia asked me. We were on our way to meet up with Eric, I had told her about him, and she was excited to meet him.
"Nope, you will see when we get there." I replied.
She groaned. "Then are we almost there?"
"Yes Julia, we've been walking for five minutes." I laughed.
We turned the corner to where the hill was. On the rock I was on yesterday was Eric.
"There he is." I told her. Julia looked around and spotted him.
"Oh, your right, he is cute."
I laughed as we finished making our way up to him.
"Hey." Eric said to us.
"Hi." Julia and I said at the same time.
He smiled. "So this must be Julia." He said to Julia shaking her hand.
"And you must Eric." She said with a laugh.
"Yes, the one and only." He joked, as he looked up at the sky. "It looks like it's gonna rain, would you girls like to come inside my house?"
I looked up at the cloudy sky, it did look as if it would rain very soon. I had only met Eric yesterday, would it be safe to go to his house? But I couldn't just stay outside and get rained on.
"Sure." I replied and followed him up the hill. Julia and I slowly walked behind him into his small house.
Inside it was nicer than I had expected. The living room walls were covered in pictures, the furniture was very fancy, and everything was organized. I couldn't find one thing out of place.
"Hey mom, I have some friends over!" Eric called out. A moment later, a short woman came into the room. She had blond hair, very underweight, and looked like one of those women that everything had to be just prefect.
"Hello." She said, her voice sounded stuck up. "I'm Sophie Carter, and you are?" She said looking to Julia and I.
"Uh, I'm Anna Johnson, and this is Julia Romero." I told her, holding out me hand.
She ignored it. "Johnson, huh? I've heard many things about your family." She said with a scowl. I stared at her, this woman just moved here and she's already heard gossip?
"Let's go." Eric said quickly. He led us away from Sophie and down a hallway. "Sorry about my mom."
"It's fine." I replied. We turned towards a shut door, and he swung it open.
His room was much different from Zach's. Zach's was messy and unorganized. Eric's was clean and organized. The bed was made perfectly, he had no posters on his wall, everything was put away, there wasn't one thing on his floor. I could of sworn this couldn't be a teenager's bedroom.
"Nice room." Julia told him, sitting down on his bed. He looked like he didn't really like anyone on his bed, but he didn't say anything.
I dropped down onto the floor, and Eric joined me. "So, you have a very nice house." I told him.
"Thanks, but I want to see your's sometime." He said.
I laughed. "My house, and family is the complete opposite of your's."
"Well, I still wanna see it."
I nodded. "Okay then, sometime you can come over."
There was small knock on the door. "Come in!" Eric called out.
A boy who looked about a year younger than me walked in. He looked a lot like Eric just different in ways, he had the same blonde hair, the same hazel eyes, but he was a little darker skinned than Eric, and he had his hair spiked up.
"Hey, Eric it's time to......." The boy stopped in the middle of the sentence when he saw Julia.
Eric spotted who he was staring at. "This is my younger brother, Brett."
"Hi." I said to Brett. I looked at Julia, but she sat there staring right back at him.
"Uh, hi." Julia said to him quietly.
Brett quickly turned away and looked at Eric. "Mom said you have to go help dad at work."
"Really? Right now? They just got here." He said looking at Julia and I.
"Yeah, she says you have no choice."
Eric nodded. "Hey, I'll text you later, okay?" He said to me.
Julia and I stood up. "Okay.' I told him. "Bye."
"Uh, bye." Julia whispered to Brett. He whispered something back that was too quiet for me to hear, but it made Julia giggle.

We were almost to our houses, and Julia and I hardly said anything to each other.
"You and Brett like each other." I said breaking our silence.
"No, we do not!" Julia told me but she had a small smile on her face.
"Yes, you do. It's obvious." I said.
"We just met each other!"
"True love at first site?" I said joking.
"Yeah, okay." She said trying to glare at me, but failed. "And Eric likes you."
"As a friend."
"No, the way he looks at you."
I shook my head, as we arrived to Julia's house.
"I don't know, but trust me, i can tell you and Brett are meant to be!" I called out to her, as I walked away.
"And Eric likes you!" She called back walking into her house.
I laughed to myself. Julia and I could be strange at times.
I ran my hand over my belly. If only that day never happened. I thought. Then I could live a normal life...
I walked into my house, and hurried to the kitchen table to where my mom was at. I sat down next to her.
"Hey, mom." I said to her.
"Hey, sweetheart." She replied looking up from her laptop.
"Uh, I was thinking, sometime can we go check out the abortion clinic?"
"They have a time limit. At 14 weeks, I believe they won't do it."
"I know." I replied. "I have a little less than two weeks to decide then."
"Okay, since tomorrow is Saturday we can go then."
I stood up. "Okay, thanks mom."
"Just remember, the choice is all your's."
I nodded and headed up the stairs.
I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I really didn't want to carry something inside me for nine months.
