Chapter Fifteen
Month: Two
I lay stretched out on my bed, holding my stomach. I could feel the little bump I had, it felt so strange since I was use to having a flat belly.
I had an Doctor's check up in about an hour and a half, and I didn't know what to do til then.
Lately I had been the one ignoring Zach instead of him ignoring me. He kept trying to talk to me, but I avoided him. I knew I had no right to be mad at him, since he didn't like cheat on me or anything, but I was still mad.
Ashley has been all over him. Whenever she saw me she'd kiss, hug, or flirt with him. I don't know how she found out I liked him, but I didn't care.
I sighed, and decided I'd go visit him. It was time I talked to him.
I got up and slipped on some shoes and hurried downstairs, and into the living room where my mom was watching t.v.
"Mom, can you take me over to Zach's house?" I asked her.
"Are you sure you want to go over there?" She asked, she didn't know why I was mad at him, she just knew I hadn't been talking to him for about three weeks.
"Yeah, I'm sure." I replied.
She nodded and hopped up from the couch. Grabbing her car keys, she called to Jack that she's be right back, and to watch Lilly.
I hopped into the passerenger's seat, and watched my mom start the engine.
As we took off, we sat in silence for awhile.
"So have you decided what your gonna do?" My mom asked breaking the silence.
"What?" I asked, having no idea what she was talking about.
"Are you going to keep the baby, or put it up for adoption?"
"Uhh..I haven't decided yet." I told her slowly.
"That's fine, but just so you know, I'm supporting you on whatever you want to do."
I nodded, and we didn't speak the rest of the way.
Once we arrived, I got out of the car and told my mom to pick me up a little bit before my appointment.
I slowly made my way to the door, as I listened to my mom drive away. After hesitation, I finally knocked, and waited.
A little girl pulled open the door. She had long light brown hair, with green eyes.
"Hi, I'm Emily." She said to me.
"Uh, hi. Is Zach home?" I asked her.
"Yep." She replied.
"May I see him?"
"Yeah, his room is upstairs the first to the right."
I followed her directions, they led to a brown door. I knocked, feeling very nervous.
A couple of minutes later, Zach opened the door.
"Hi, can we talk?" I asked him.
"Oh, so now you want to talk?" His voice was very rude.
"Fine, I'll just leave." I told him, turning around.
"Wait!" He called out, as I began to walk away. "I'm sorry, please stay."
"Okay." I mumbled and followed him into his room.
His room was like any teenage boy's room. It was decorated with posters of athletes, his bed was a mess, and his desk was very unorganized. We both sat down into two bean bags.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" He asked.
"I just wanted to say sorry for ignoring you." I replied.
"And I'm sorry for ignoring you before that." He said with a chuckle.
I nodded. There was a long silence.
"So, how far are you?" He asked pointing at my stomach.
"Uh, two months."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Another silence. This felt like the first time we met, there was a bunch of silences.
"Well, I have an appointment in a little bit." I told him, trying to make conversation.
"To see how the baby is doing?" He relied.
"Yeah."
"When will you be able to tell the gender?"
"Uh, around five months."
"What do you want?" He asked. "If you kept it."
"Well, I think I want a girl."
He laughed. "I think you'd be an amazing mom."
"But I'm only fourteen!"
"Yeah, but still."
I shrugged, and decided to ask the question I'd been waiting to ask. "So, your going out with Ashley?"
"Uh, Yeah." I could tell he was uncomfortable.
"Well, that's fine." I smiled.
"It is?"
"Yeah, we're just friends, and that's all I want to be."
I couldn't believe I just lied to him....
