Her body slow stopped spasming until she laid limp in my arms. I slowly laid her body back down onto her bed making sure not to jostle her. When she was laid down perfectly she let out a soft sigh that calmed me down as well. I backed away from her slightly sitting in the chair next to her bed.

I kept her hand in mine as I always have rubbing tiny circles on the back of it soothingly. The beeping of the heart monitor had effective slowed down now.

I looked away from her relaxed face to the doctor that stood there staring at me. I rose an eyebrow at him which prompted him to talk. "Well I don't know if it was you or the sedative. The sedative shouldn't of took that long..." He trailed off for a moment as he looked to her IV bag with a confused expression before turning his attention back to me. "Either way good job. I'm just going to do a quick check up on her and then be out of your hair."

He went around the room grabbing things he need before he poked and prodded at her. Softly of course as every time I thought it was to much I growled lightly letting him know to back off. Doctor or not.

He started listening to her lungs as she was breathing softly. He switched from the left side of her chest to the right. He stared at the wall above her bed focusing as he listened.

A small squeeze of my hand had my attention dragging away from the doctor down to Scarlet as her eyes slowly started opening. She blinked rapidly probably because of the light. A grin spread across my entire face I could feel my cheeks hurting. My eyes stung slightly as they watered from happiness and the fact that I haven't blinked yet. I didn't want to blink and have this moment disappear. For all I know I've started hallucinating.

Out of the corner of my vision I saw the doctor move back to the left side of her chest to listen again obviously not realizing she was awake yet. The movement had Scarlet snap her eyes open quickly even though she wasn't adjusted to the light quite yet. Everything happened so quickly that I could barely catch it happening.

Scarlet let go of my hand as her attention flew solely to the doctor. She grabbed the cord to his stethoscope and pulled it down bring him with it while her hand flew up to meet his face as it came down. He leaned back with a groan when she let go holding his hands to his nose.

Blood started to drip past his fingers as he squeezed his eyes shut. He tilted his head back to try to stop the bleeding.

Scarlet started sitting up and trying to scooch back on the bed in my direction. I put my arms around her before she could fall off and hurt herself. Her heart monitor spiked quickly and she thrashed around trying to get out of my hold.

I held her tighter but made sure I was gently about it. I leaned down to her ear to try and calm her like I did in her sleep. "Shh little wolf its okay. It's just Jared. No one will hurt you, I gotcha. Just relax okay, everything's alright." I made sure to keep my voice at low volume for her and felt pride swell in me as she relaxed against me and put one of her hands over one of my arms that was holding her.
