this gets a bit existential btw jsyk- (and it kinda references the backrooms too-)
just keep that in mind before reading further, if you don't want to that's fine- /vvvvgen, your mental wellbeing is more important than some writing i made over a year ago
uhh anyways according to my english teacher then i cooked with this (specifically these were written on jan 12th and feb 2nd in 2024-)

You slowly let yourself awaken to the sight of a black and white world, inside of a dark, cold, lonely tunnel. A white sun shined down, showcasing you an escape, but you were more noticing a lack of any colour.
Every other place you've been while in this strange world has had even a bit of colour. From the damp yellow walls when you first came here, there's been some colour. But this area was different - no colour at all, just a boring, cold world.
Not just that - you couldn't hear anything either. There was nothing else, just you and this colourless city. The air was still - who knows, maybe it was non-existent - but you could somehow still breathe.
No smells were smelt.
No touches were felt.
No tastes were tasted.
It was sensory deprivation at its finest.
Even with all the buildings, tunnels, bricks for those tunnels and buildings, doors, benches, wood for those doors and benches, windows, and glass for those windows, you couldn't be sure that there was anyone else there - just you.
Trying not to go insane, you began to try and recall your old memories. Before all these weird places, before the damp carpet and yellow walls, before all of that. Back when you still had a home, a family, a school to go to, a bed to sleep in.
But you couldn't.

You turned around, looking into the tunnel you woke up in. There, you saw something you didn't expect to in a place like this. Light. Follow the light.
Walking into it, you saw a train station down below where you stood. People talked, or so you thought, you couldn't hear a thing. Just like how the city you came from was, you never sensed a thing. It seemed like it was all in the past, everyone was wearing suits. Maybe, you weren't sure. They were all pitch black, dark and dangerous. But the light isn't. Follow the light.
Trains went by, but you never saw the end. It was like it was an infinite train, no beginning, no end. You weren't even sure if there was anyone in there. Could you even ask anyone anything? Would they even be able to answer you? Should you try it out, just to see if it's possible? Thoughts ran through your mind, just like the train. No beginning, and no end. But there is something with an end. The light. Follow the light.
Walking over to the bridge, you looked down in-between the two trains. They went the opposite way of each other, causing you to struggle to focus on them both at once. But there was one thing you couldn't see - the end of the ground between them. It was dark, it was dangerous. Your mind quickly flashed a thought, but you shook it off within seconds. You wouldn't jump down something like that... so get away from the gap, calling you to join it. Who knows how many people have been claimed by it? But the light is shining and safe. Follow the light.
Finally walking down the stairs, you joined the rest of the "people" on the ground. Well, you're not sure if they ARE people, or just some other creature you've found ever since those damp yellow walls... hey, you could've at least heard light buzzing there You could've at least felt the damp carpet you walked on. You could've at least seen colour. You miss those times, to be honest... so why are those memories fading away from you?
You watched as figures resembling humans laughed, cried, and fought with each other, wishing you could hear the context. What was even going on? Then, your eyes focused on one of them. A lone person, gazing at everyone else. They seemed to be the blackest black you could think of, compared to the rest of your companions. They seemed to be the most dark and dangerous. And the furthest from any light, too. Follow the light.
Then, you tried to do something. You tried to speak. But your mouth wouldn't open.
You were stuck here in silence, with nothing but your own thoughts. Glaring at the train, you thought that trains always took you away from places, so maybe it'll do the same here? Standing in front of the door, you realized that you'd have to be really fast in order to successfully get in, and not fall through a gap. But hey, at least your death would be quick. Maybe that'd be better than having to go through any more of these strange places... but these are all you know now. You've lost count of how long ago was your first visit to those yellow halls... but you've given up finding an escape, might as well keep going. Or turn back, and say hi to the lights behind you. Follow the light.
You felt your body moving on its own, edging towards it. Just follow it, you know you want to. You get a sudden feeling you've been here before, but ignore it. You know you want to. You feel the warmth and safety of the light, so why not surround yourself in it? Just follow the light, you know you want to. Forget all these dark and dangerous things here, and just follow it? Follow it. Follow it. Follow it.
The light and you are now one, as you feel every fading away from you. Your memories, your experiences, your troubles, your mind, your body, your life, your you.
You are now the light; it has claimed another traveller.
