Only You: Chapter 15

"Oh okay.." I utter, having a weird feeling of what is happening.

"I need to get going so if you'll excuse me," he bows down then hops to his motorcycle and rode off.

"Okay, t-thanks!" I shouted and went back to the house and close the door.

I look at the box and wonder what is inside as I walk towards the kitchen to continue eating breakfast. I sit on my chair and try to shake it hoping that the sound will give me a clue. Unfortunately, it didn't produce any sound.

I carefully open it removing the adhesive tape one by one and pulled a box out of the plastic. Inside the box there's another box but it is a different kind— it is narrow in width, wide in length, square and covered with velvet. There's a tiny lock just in front of it so I click it and slowly open it.

I was shocked when I saw an expensive necklace inside with a silver chain and a stone in the middle which is I guess is a turquoise, my birthstone. Who would send such a thing? I thought.

I lift the foam which was holding the necklace and I saw a letter.

It says: "Saeng-il Chukhahae."

I knew immediately who was it from because I recognize his penmanship anywhere. Why would he give me a gift? I thought. I don't need another thing that will remind me of him. And I can't accept this, it's too much and by the looks of how it is formed it's very expensive. I have to return this to him, I really can't accept this.

I remember that I have his number on my phone. So, I grabbed it and immediately sent him a message.

[Heeyeon] I received your package. Thank you but I can't accept this. Tell me what is your mailing address so I can send it back to you.

[Unregistered Number] I knew you wouldn't accept it. I can't give you my address but if you want we can meet tonight. Is it okay with you?

I immediately had a thought that this is all planned out, that he expected that I will not accept his gift and that I will return it to him. So, in that scenario, we can meet each other with a reason of returning his gift.

In spite of that realization, I agreed to meet with him without any hesitation. Not that I want to but for closure and to give the necklace back. I just want to forget about him once and for all and be done with it.

This time I didn't experience any pressure on the chest or any clouded thoughts maybe because I am starting to move on that he doesn't affect me anymore.

[Unregistered Number] Okay, then we can meet up at Pierre Gagnaire at exactly 7 pm. I'm hoping you'll be there.

[Heeyeon] Yes, I will.

[Unregistered Number] Okay then, see you tonight.

I don't mind if he wants to meet up on the fanciest restaurant in Seoul or at any place he could think of. All I care about is that I need to give this back to him and end this tonight. I need to let go of all the shit I've been going through because of him, so I can finally live a peaceful life.

Jimin's POV

After another long tiring day of practice we returned to the dormitory a little early than expected around three pm because the hyungs are suddenly scheduled for a shoot at five pm. So that means me, Taehyung and Jungkook will be left in the house alone tonight.

With the remaining two hours of free time Jin hyung said he will teach me how to make seaweed soup. But first I left the dormitory to buy some ingredients since there are no supplies and this is only the free time I got.
