Chapter 12: Midnight Madness 1 Thursday, December 5 2013
Hee Yeon's POV
I got off the shower and changed into my pajamas. It is just a plain light blue polo and pants made out of soft cotton. I grab the hairdryer and sit in front of my mirror.
As I dry my hair I noticed my phone on top of the drawer, still facing down. My hands instinctively take the phone and press the home button to check if there are any messages. Unfortunately, there are none. I sighed and bring the phone back to where it was placed.
Really? He's still not texting me? Hours had passed since dinner yet he still hasn't texted me. I understand that I'm the first one who didn't replied back but this isn't him, he usually floods me with messages.
I sit on my bed and hug my knees. I keep looking at my phone in a distance with a feeling that I should check it again. I try to divert my attention and stare blankly at the wall instead. I try to think of something else but no matter what I do I can't seem to take him off my mind.
"Aha!" I mutter as I lift myself up.
I reached for the remote and switch the television on. Thinking that a television show can keep my mind off of him. Apparently, there is nothing good to watch at eleven in the night. So, I turned off the television and think of something else to do.
I know, I should read a book, I think to myself. I stand up and walk towards my bookshelf. It's not literally a shelf like the ones seen in libraries. It is just two flat rectangular cases made out of wood consisting of only two units and are enclosed by glass doors.
My books are mainly science fictions, fantasies and any other books that comes in series. I also have comic types like mangas because I'm fond of the animations. What I don't like reading are novels, romance and dramas. I think they are just cliche and so predictable that you'll automatically know what will happen in the end.
