Present day...
-^* Are we clear? *^-
HAO POV:
"You guys never tell me when you're gonna be here and I always end up waking up in the morning feeling like I've intruded!" Matthew's voice echoed from the kitchen.
I fluttered my eyelids open as I heard a warm laugh join Matthew's complaints.
"Are you jealous?"
"No I'm not jealous. I just don't like being caught in the middle of my friend's personal business with his boyfriend-"
"I'm sorry I will tell you next time!" The other voice laughed harder as he spoke.
"Yeah tell me so I can go to Jiwoong's and actually get some sleep!"
"And sleep on Hao's bed? I don't think so-"
"Well I'm not gonna sleep in Jiwoong's bed with him am I?"
"You could~"
"That's enough of that Hanbin!"
Another below of laughter escaped, getting louder and clearer as the door creaked open. I glanced over with dazed vision, my eyes still adjusting to the brightness of the room as the curtains fluttered beside me in the warm breeze. Hanbin walked in, wearing my pair of pink pyjama bottoms and a white tank top. I stared at him with a smile, watching as he smiled back endearingly, trying to fix his bed head with one hand whilst he shut the door behind him with the other.
"Did you not tell him I was coming over last night?" I questioned with slight frustration yet the inability to seem mad in any way shape or form.
Hanbin shook his head with playful shamelessness. He smirked and checked his appearance in the mirror before he sat on the bed beside me.
"Don't worry about him, I'm sure he's fine."
"Don't be so sure, Jiwoong slept on the sofa for like 3 days after last time..."
Hanbin rolled his eyes and sighed, leaning in and resting his entire upper body on mine, wrapping his arms around my neck.
"He'll understand when he finds someone..." he mumbled into my chest.
I grinned and embraced him back.
"We have to get up soon, we have work today."
He groaned and held me tighter.
"I need five minutes, then I'll get ready-"
"You always say that, and then we always end up late...I can't believe I'm the one saying this to you." I uttered.
"Yeah you hypocrite, you're just as bad. Last time when I slept at yours we were 20 minutes late because you wanted me to hug you before we left..."
We stayed like that for five minutes and finally Hanbin lifted himself off of me and strode into the bathroom. I began getting our clothes ready after I made his bed and packed my bag for work, leaving my pyjamas folded neatly on his dresser. Once he returned, I got into the shower.
We walked to work hand in hand, talking about our plans for the evening.
"I was thinking we should get take out and watch a film after your violin concert...what do you think?"
"Mmm, sounds like a plan to me." I nodded, nibbling on an apple.
We arrived at work and put our things away. I turned my head as the glass door to the changing room opened to reveal Gyuvin walking in with the new hire.
"Ah- Gyuvin! Ricky! How was the gallery yesterday?" Hanbin asked as the two strolled in and opened their lockers.
The taller brunette smiled and let out a chuckle.
"Ricky fell asleep in the taxi on the way back, I couldn't wake him up and I had to drag him into my apartment..."
"Do you have to tell them about that? I was tired from practicing it was just-"
"Were you really practicing or did you just stay up late playing video games together?" I giggled to myself as Ricky turned to me and grinned.
"How do you stay up all night like that the weekend before you start a new job? I took melatonin every night the week before I started to make sure I was in tip top shape!"
"Not everyone's as good as you are, Hanbin..." Ricky sighed as the rest of us laughed again.
"What's funny? Did Gyuvin trip on the stairs again?" Jiwoong asked as he walked in, already grinning along.
"They're steeper than they look!" Gyuvin groaned.
"Oh! New hire, my names Jiwoong."
"Ah- nice to meet you, I'm Ricky." Ricky replied cautiously.
"Don't be scared, I don't bite most of the time," Jiwoong smirked.
"Stop being weird, you're gonna scare him away-" I laughed.
"Me? I'm not weird. If he's gonna be scared of anything it'll probably be when he finds you two kissing in the practice rooms like I did last week!"
I laughed and glanced over at Hanbin whose face was shining a soft pink colour.
We talked in the changing rooms for a while before we all headed to our classes. I headed into the hall on the top floor and waited for my new student which was supposed to be arriving at 9 am. Finally, he walked up the stairs, smiling as he caught my eye.
"Gunwook right?"
He nodded and followed me as we headed into my studio.
"Matthew told me all about you, he said he didn't know you were into dancing."
Gunwook set his bag down shyly and smiled.
"Yeah...I'm actually planning on going to a dance academy next year for university."
"That's exciting! So this is just extra practice?"
He nodded.
"Cool, we'll get started straight away then."
Life was comfortable. He was comfortable. Jiwoong and I were in the process of buying a new apartment so that Hanbin could stay over more often and it wouldn't bother Jiwoong. Matthew was now one of the top managers at his gym and Hanbin was the best teacher at the company. And I was still trying to work whilst playing violin whenever I could. Mine and Hanbin's lives had perfectly intertwined, and we had even managed to find some pictures of the two of us from high school on his old phone. His family was learning to forgive me after Hanbin explained what really happened and they all now knew that we were together.
It was eudaemonia, my life felt so completely perfect. I enjoyed everything about loving him, I enjoyed our conversations, whenever we'd nap together in his bed or play games together with Matthew. I loved when I saw him at my concerts and I loved when we could resolve disagreements by talking about our feelings with complete honesty.
He waited outside the building for me after my concert. I smiled as I spotted him stood there with his back turned to me outside the glass doors. I made my way out and shouted him.
"Hanbina!"
He turned around with a soft sigh and a gentle smile.
He opened his arms as I jogged into them and we began walking home.
"Do you still think when we die we become stars?" He asked me quietly.
I watched the side of his face light up in the passing headlights of cars.
I shook my head.
"I actually kind of like your idea now...the flower and the bee..." I admitted.
He chuckled.
"It's a little morbid now that I think about it..."
"Yeah but stars can't kiss...if I'm a bee I can kiss you as much as I want." I giggled back.
"I'll become every flower around for you..."
"I'm sorry Hanbin."
He turned around suddenly, a few paces ahead of me. I stared at him sadly.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't live like this sooner..."
He smiled and glanced down before he took a few steps towards me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"You don't have to think about that anymore, are we clear?"
I stood there, feeling a little mellow.
"Are we clear?" He asked again.
I nodded and smiled though my teary eyes.
"We are clear..."
And it's over! Thank you all for the support on this all your comments have been so nice whilst I've been trying to write this though mock exams and busy times with all my college work and working part time. This is actually the first fanfic I've ever finished! I've always been interested in writing but I always used to just give up half way through and start a new one but all the support has really pushed me though to finish it. Of course it's not perfect by any means and I made a lot of mistakes through writing it and there are probably lots of obvious ones throughout reading. Now that I've finished it completely I'll be able to go back through it and fix some of these to make the story much more put together.
Anyway! Now that I've finally finished this, let me know what you think! I've already begun writing my next work so if you enjoy my writing style or are excited to see how I improve you can always keep my account at hand and the first chapter of that should be coming soon...
Thank you all once again, those who comment I'm always excited to see your opinions on what I've written as it often helps me improve too!
I hope you'll read the exciting things I have coming but that's it for 'Are we clear?'
Bye bye!!
