"Don't blink, watch every movement I make-"
"Well hurry up I can't keep my eyes open for that long!" I huffed as he smiled brightly. He pulled a small cake out of the white plastic bag in front of him.
"What's this for?" I laughed.
"It has officially been six months since you arrived in Korea!"
I laughed louder, taking the cake from him and inspecting it. It was my favourite flavour.
"Hanbin! How can we eat the whole thing ourselves?" I questioned, grinning with satisfaction. It was times like this that reminded me how thankful I was for meeting him. I watched the way his cheeks grew pink, the way he gazed at me brightly and how his nose scrunched when he thought I was cute.
"Whatever we don't eat now I can save in my fridge for tomorrow, or the day after." He explained, taking the cake from me and cutting me a slice with a small plastic knife. He handed me a piece and watched as I took a bite.
"Is it good?"
"Very good, thank you."
"I'm glad, I lost sleep making it for you."
I shoved him playfully, giggling as he cut himself a piece and joined me in our eating of it.
When he had enough, he placed it back in the box and moved himself to sit beside me, resting his head against my shoulder and closing his eyes.
"Can time stop here? I don't wanna finish school..." I sighed.
"Why does it have to end when you finish?" He asked.
"I'm going back to China to do a teaching course, silly."
He lifted his head from my shoulder and looked at me intently.
"I'll just go with you."
"What? You can't just-"
"I'm sure there's plenty of dance schools in China and it's not like you're staying there forever, you said you're coming back in a year anyway!"
His optimism scared me sometimes. How can someone think so well of everyone and everything around him...
"Are you sure? What about your family?"
"We can talk to them. I was saying to my mom actually, about going to visit my grandparents in a few weeks. She said we should bring you with us. We could ask them about it then." He beamed. I wanted to take him with me, I honestly didn't think I could go anywhere without him. I think I'd go crazy without him for even a day.
I nodded and smiled.
He wrapped his arm around me, letting me sink into his body and engulf his warmth.
"Thank you." I whispered.
