"I can't wait to dream about you tonight..."
He didn't know what I meant by that, but I did, and I could barely wait. I hoped I'd uncover a new memory, something nice. My favourite drug had replenished me once again, I felt real once more. I felt like I was alive.

"I think that whenever someone dies they become a star. People who make constellations are probably family, or maybe friends."
I smiled and stared at him as he stared up at the wide stretching sky.
"What would our constellation look like?"
"Like that." He pointed up at two stars, sat up there, closer together than all the others.
"I think we might just reincarnate into a bee and a flower." I replied.
He turned to me with his brows furrowed together.
"Why's that? Who's the bee and who's the flower?"
"I'm the flower. I stay in one spot, you come to me, you pollinate me and use the love I give you to live and grow."
He sighed.
"That's depressing. Flowers die before bees. What will I do when you die?"
"Then I'll just become a different flower, and you'll find and love me all over again."
"Whatever, I like my idea better. If we're stars we can be together forever..."
"I don't know...I think I'd enjoy getting to love you all over again."
I awoke that morning feeling a little melancholy. I recalled my phone call with Hao and began to feel whole again.
Sundays were becoming my least favourite day of the week. I wanted to see him at work, now. I knew that there were more important things we needed to discuss, but my mind was geared towards listening to him talk again.
Sunday went by slowly, I spent the day awaiting Monday eagerly. I could imagine I felt this way in high school too, waiting to see Hao at school again. I just wished I could remember that myself.
Monday morning was humid and cloudy. I made my way to work, watching the first patters of rain fall against the bus window.
I waltzed through the glass door, my eyes falling excitedly on the people who stood behind it.
"Gyuvin?" I questioned.
Of course, he was starting work. My mind was taken from Hao and I began to talk with Gyuvin who was taking his hoodie off beside Taerae who he would be following around for his first day.
"Hey Hanbin! Did you recover after Friday?"
I looked down shamefully.
"Yeah...I'm sorry about all of that..."
"Wait do you two know each other?" Taerae asked.
"He used to work at a cafe that me and my friends really liked, and we became friends!" Gyuvin explained.
"Ah-" Taerae seemed like he was going to say more, but stopped himself, looking over at the people entering the room.
Jiwoong came in first, followed by the person I was the most excited to see. He stared at me for a moment, then shifted his stare to the boy in front of me who seemingly hadn't taken his eyes off me.
Hao's expression had changed. He seemed pissed off now, the way his eyebrow furrowed slightly, his mouth turned down and his bottom lip pouted just a little.
What was this tension about? Hao seemed unnecessarily frustrated by Gyuvin's presence in the room, and Gyuvin didn't even bother to look at him.
"Is this the new hire?" Jiwoong asked, passing Hao, in between me and Gyuvin and opening his locker beside me.
"This is Gyuvin, he started today." Taerae explained cautiously as he flickered his gaze between Gyuvin and Hao.
"Nice to meet you," Jiwoong smiled.
"Nice to meet you too, I'm excited to work here." Gyuvin finally spoke, still avoiding Hao's gaze.
As Jiwoong and Gyuvin began chatting, I pulled Hao aside.
I took him into one of the private practice rooms, shutting the door behind me. I turned back to see that sour expression still on his face.
"Is everything okay? I needed to talk to you-"
"Are you and Gyuvin close these days?" He suddenly asked.
I raised an eyebrow, the silence as I stared at him becoming deafening.
"We're good friends...why?"
Was there something I didn't know again? Was I being kept in the dark about my own past...again?
"Since when?"
"Last year...why...is something wrong with that?" I questioned, slightly annoyed by his reaction considering the Yuxuan issue that we still hadn't resolved.
"No- I just-" he seemed to have realised the conviction in how he spoke to me. He took a step back and sighed, his hair falling in front of his eyes.
"What did you want to talk about...?" He continued, trying to change the subject.
I let it go...just for now. I didn't have the energy to argue with him right now.
"We need to talk about Yuxuan."
His face turned up to me, suddenly seeming a lot more sorry than he had previously.
"He left for China last night...I didn't think you'd want to bring it up..."
"What...did we fight about...back in high school?" I asked breathlessly.
My heart was thumping in my chest with anxiety and anticipation.
Hao took a step forward and avoided my eyes.
"Actually- I wanted to explain this to you with Yu here but...it didn't go as planned. Back then-"
Before he could continue, the door swung open.
We turned, spying Gyuvin at the door with a surprised look on his face.
"Sorry, I was trying to find a spare speaker..."
HAO POV:
He did that on purpose. I just know he did.
He was covering it all up...he had been all this time.
Not even Matthew knew, about what really happened between Yuxuan and Hanbin. No one knew except those involved.
Me, Hanbin, Yuxuan...
And Kim Gyuvin.
Chapter 12! Let me know what you guys think...
I'm trying my best to keep chapters coming out somewhat regularly but I'll be pretty busy over the weekend so I'll definitely find the time next week to get some more chapters out. I'll try to make chapter 13 a longer one and possibly a memory section after it. Anyways let me know what you think will happen I'm interested to know.
Bye guys!
