I gave a sigh while dropping my head slightly. I would have to leave Scarlet in order to go meet with them. I looked back at her not wishing to leave her side for even a second.
What if she woke up and I wasn't here? Would she be scared? Would she have questions? I couldn't leave her all alone in a time of need like that.
I felt a heavy weight drop on my shoulder and turned my attention back to Ben hesitantly. He had a small sympathetic smile on his face. "I'll stay with her, if she wakes up I contact you immediately. You need to go and find out what happened to those people down there. It's the only way you can help her right now." He kept his voice calm and clear probably to convince me that I had to do this.
I knew I had to it was just the fact that I didn't want to leave her. I regained myself quickly with the situation at hand. Taking a few steps towards Ben so we were only a foot apart I gave him a stern and serious look. "You do not leave her for a SECOND, do you understand me?" I made sure my voice was strict and laced with my Alpha command.
He straightened up, standing at attention. "You have my word." The sympathetic look he was previously giving me completely void from his face now.
I gave one last look to Scarlet, my face falling as I had to leave her no matter how much I didn't want to. But this was for her.
I gave Ben a pat on the shoulder making direct eye contact with him in a silent message before I left.

I walked in to my office coming upon Duncan who was lent against the wall behind my desk. His eyes trained on the three people who sat in front of it.
They was a slightly scrawny boy in one of the chairs. He looked about as thin as Scarlet was when she first came here. His eyes were shifting around the room while he fidgeted.
The girl that sat in the chair next to him wasn't much different. Although she did have more meat on her then him. She was curled up with her arms wrapped around her knees fitting her entire body into the space.
The last one was slightly bulking. He had muscles but they weren't as prominent as you'd except. He had a wide frame to go with it but it seemed as if his frame was supposed to be slightly bigger. He stood behind the girls chair with a hand on her shoulder. The hand that was holding her shoulder was the only thing soft about him. He kept a close eye on Duncan and reverted it back to me as I entered. The skin that was exposed on his forearms were covered with white scars.
