Remembering how Anil had, very clearly, gotten jealous over something as ridiculous as a casual conversation.
And that?
That made her morning.
Because for the first time ever, she had seen Anil lose her usual, overconfident, smug attitude.
For the first time ever, Anil had been thrown off her game.
And Pin had been the reason why.
------------
Anil, On the Other Hand...
Anil woke up annoyed.
Not because of Pin—she could never be annoyed at Pin.
But because Pin was never supposed to see her jealous.
That was not part of the plan.
Anil was the one who teased Pin, not the other way around.
Anil was the one who made Pin blush and stumble over her words.
Anil was the one who was supposed to be in control.
But now?
Now Pin was grinning like she had just won a war.
And worst of all?
She was using it against her.
---------
At school, Pin was waiting for Anil at their lockers.
She leaned against it, holding her books to her chest, eyes scanning the hallway for any sign of her girlfriend.
And then—
She spotted her.
Walking toward her.
Slow. Calculated.
A little too smug for someone who had been exposed yesterday.
Anil stopped directly in front of her, hands in her pockets, tilting her head.
"You're staring," Anil pointed out.
Pin raised an eyebrow.
"So?"
Anil grinned.
"So, I didn't know my jealousy was that attractive."
Pin rolled her eyes.
"There it is."
Anil blinked.
"There what is?"
Pin crossed her arms.
"The ego. I was wondering how long it would take to recover."
Anil smirked.
"Oh, sweetheart. My ego never dies."
Pin sighed.
Then, before she could stop herself—
She reached up and flicked Anil's forehead.
Anil yelped.
"Hey! What was that for?!"
"For being ridiculous."
Anil pouted, rubbing her forehead.
"I was not ridiculous."
Pin gave her a pointed look.
"You glared at Nicha like she stole your puppy."
Anil huffed.
"She was standing too close."
Pin sighed dramatically.
"Anil—"
"Nope."
Pin sighed again.
And then—
She grabbed Anil's hand.
Anil immediately shut up.
She blinked.
Pin never initiated things like this.
"...What's this for?" Anil asked.
Pin squeezed her hand gently.
"To remind you," Pin said, "that you never have to be jealous."
Anil stared.
"...Oh."
Pin smiled softly.
"You're my girlfriend, Anilaphat. I chose you. I'll always choose you."
Anil felt her face heat up.
And for once—
She was speechless.
"...You can't just say stuff like that," Anil muttered.
Pin tilted her head.
"Why not?"
Anil groaned.
"Because now I'm—ugh—soft."
Pin laughed.
And just like that—
The power balance shifted again.
Because Pin knew.
She had won this round.
And Anil?
Anil was just completely, utterly in love.
