Anilaphat Was Not Jealous.

She was fine.

Totally, completely, 100% fine.

Even as she watched Pin laugh at something another girl said.

Even as that girl—Nicha, from their literature class—leaned a little too close.

Even as Pin didn't notice.

Because Pin never noticed.

And that was the problem.

Anil knew Pin.

She knew that Pin didn't play games.

Didn't flirt without meaning to.

Didn't even realize when someone else was flirting with her.

But Nicha?

Nicha definitely knew what she was doing.

And Anil was not happy about it.

She blinked, turning slightly.

Standing by the classroom door. Arms crossed. Staring.

"...Anil?" Pin tilted her head. "What's wrong?"

Anil did not blink.

Or move.

Or breathe, maybe.

"You," Anil said flatly, "have been talking to Nicha for a long time."

Pin frowned.

"...We're in the same group project?"

Anil's eyes narrowed.

"Yeah."

"Are you... mad?"

"No."

Pin squinted at her.

Anil definitely looked mad.

But before she could say anything, Nicha spoke.

"Oh, Anil! You're Pin's girlfriend, right?"

Anil slowly turned her head.

There was something almost dangerous in her smile.

"The one and only."

Pin suddenly felt like she was witnessing something deadly.

"Oh," Nicha said, still smiling. "I've heard a lot about you."

Anil tilted her head.

"All good things, I hope."

Nicha giggled.

A sound that made Anil's jaw tighten.

Pin just watched the conversation unfold, completely lost.

What... was happening?

"Well," Nicha continued, "Pin and I were just talking about literature. She's really smart, you know?"

Anil's smile did not waver.
